I just smoked one of these tonight after a big turkey dinner, enjoyed it with a cup of kona coffee sitting at my fire pit. Second one I've had. The first one I had a few months ago the sweetness on the tip stuck around for at least the first half, but on this one while the sweet tip was noticeable right at the light and first few puffs, it muted relatively fast. Read that it is sweet gum that they use to bind the cap, not a dipped/sweetened tip as some swear. This cigar for me is a VERY mild, creamy smooth smoke; almost perfect burn - even burn all the way down, never had to relight or touch up; lasted an hour and a half. Nice open draw, lots of smoke on the draw and off the foot. Definitely not overwhelming taste profile - but very nice. First half was notes of vanilla, cedar and some very light hay notes. Second half, especially last third had noticeable cocoa flavors. A bit of pepper (guess white?) towards the final third, but only enough to tingle the back of the throat a tad. Even retrohaling some it wasn't any spicy (which I'm fine with). Wish they made this in a corona size - would be nice to see what a 42 or 44 ring gauge would be like to bring those flavors out. Definitely will have to pick up a few more, but at $13 a stick they aren't something I can smoke frequently.

I love these cigars. I'm fine with the lightly sweetened cap on these. I find it a bit off putting that Steve is saying No sweetened tip. I just don't understand his philosophy about that. I mean, if you lick the cigar anywhere else other than the cap there is no sweet taste. It tastes like any other Connecticut. Just my 2 cents. Anyways, best mild cigar out there. Right up there with Perdomos champagne
