What a true great to Everton this man is . The passion he has for the club clearly showed on Saturday and the players really put in a big shift for him . I think the board should give him a few more games to see if he can get the team in good form , because it was evident on Saturday that the players wanted to play for him , and if he can do that then give it to him until at least the end of the season . He says he doesn't want the job , but I bet deep down he does .

Duncan should be given the rest of the season's games and if his performance has been good, put him in the running for permanent manager. He is excellent at man-management, very astute about tactics - blew me away with the pressing and the defending - and has the determination and desire to make Everton the best club in the PL. He seems a lot better than the checkbook managers who were just after the big salary that have managed Everton over the last 25 years. And I include David Moyes in that group. Behind that extravert exterior, he has a sharp brain. He has a killer instinct, to go after clubs and smash them to bits. He doesn't respect the reputation or history of any club. He doesn't pay mind to who's managing them. He has a winning mentality, a passion to excel, and a commitment to the club and to the fans. He won't let us down. He even beat Frank Lampard, who has been doing excellently this year - his club is in the top four, and who already is experienced as a manager, and has the whole famed Chelsea academy to draw players from, and has league winners at his disposal too. Duncan has failed transfers and ageing players to rely on with just a sprinkling of world class players. But he achieved a 3-1 victory with them. And this is his *FIRST* match. It was astonishing. It was as if he had been managing for years! He's so modest too. He downplayed his ability in the post-match interview. I don't think he should hide his light under a bushel. He is much better than SILVA (what an absolute _turd_ of a manager he was). Duncan must go after that job and show he deserves to lead the club.
