Not happening this year. They (Dville) have the juice to possibly get to the finals. I can't see them getting stopped over the course of the next few games until the semi-finals (maybe). I do not think they have the juice to compete with North Shore though this year. I think what we're going to get here for Texas 6A-D1 football is yet another matchup of the 2 best stud teams in the state (North Shore & Duncanville). If that happens North Shore has a 3-1 record in the finals against them. Last year Dville pulled it out and got their coach a hard earned win - guy deserved it... but I think this year the talent level at NS is too much for DV to handle. DV got smoked by DeSoto this year first time in a long time - and that was without DS's best player on the turf. Make no bones - DV still pumping out gems though... I think this is a runup to next year though for them...

Duncanville will cream north shore yet again they have basically the same team from last year with better young players DeSoto is the best team in the state this year no questions asked.

@@tyrellewatts7335 nS lost alot of its top players to college so last year was alot of players had to step up plus their qb was out for his acl last year ... Plus NS up 3-1 but we shall see if they both make it to state who creams who!

@@tyrellewatts7335 thx for your op. appreciated.!! i don't doubt DeSoto will be the 6A-D2 state champs - that's the bracket they're in. Which is BS - they should have got placed in the 6A-D1 bracket with the big boys and be allowed to take their talents to face North Shore. I think DeSoto would have had a legit shot and that would have been one HELL of a game!! No doubts - I think that DV will wind up playing NS - and NS will walk away with it's 4th state championship - ALL against DV. DV has only won 1... and that's last year and they lost some talent (and a step) from last year - hence their loss to DS. Nonetheless - the talent still on their team this year places them at a solid #2-#3 in the state... in all honesty, I think it has less to do with the talent - and more to do with the coaching. THeir coach is phenomenal at DV.

@@jrb3101 north shore NEVER has an easy path getting to the finals - yet they've clocked 3 state titles and 4 appearances in like the last 6 years. AMAZING!!! This year - they'll no doubts win on Friday and wind up having to play Katy or Cy-Fair which are both very good teams this year. Then when they win that they'll have to play Atascocita... i mean their path is littered with facing talent. Same goes for DeSoto in D2 bracket as well - they're most likely going to get to face that 5* Florida Commit DJ Langley @ Willis - i see them winning on Friday and will be interested to see what him and their #6 can do against DS. God I love TX football!!!

@@yellowman617 it's determined by the top 2 schools by enrollment in 6A the next two go to D2 for each athletic district . DeSoto is a small school with 5A enrollment this year. They won't be in the D1 bracket for a long time
