Ok let’s address this narrative. What “lesson?” Duncanville was going to dominate in state play regardless if they played MD or not. The MD loss didn’t make them any better than they were going to be. In fact there is no indication that this Duncanville team is any better than they were last year. @@blitz12399 Man stop! I'm cheering Duncanville because they take on all comers. They played IMG, St. John and Mater Dei. Mater Dei don't need no brownie points they're #1 in the country wire to wire. Anyone thinking any other team can beat them is on crack. Duncanville could have went south after that loss. That was a national loss, I know Texas is only used to down the street losses but losing on a national stage is different. Your parents, girlfriend, uncles and aunts are talking about that game, social media is trashing you, other states that didn't play are clowning so its different. They answer the phone when other Texas programs send out of state schools to voice-mail. If they play any other state but Cali I'm pulling for them.

@@losdog911 I understand what you mean about other Texas teams not scheduling tougher opponents. #1 in Texas Austin Westlake has a problem with that as it pertains to instate opponents as well. They could have scheduled Duncanville and Southlake Carroll but they didn’t. I can only conclude that Westlake prefers an easy regular season schedule until they’re in peak condition when it comes time to play the tougher teams in the playoffs. I’m upset we won’t get to see how Westlake does against Duncanville and Southlake Carroll in the D1 bracket this year. Hear me out but I don’t think Westlake is too far behind MD. Duncanville is pretty much at the same level that they were last year. Last year Duncanville lost to Southlake Carroll in the state semifinals and in return Southlake Carroll lost to Austin Westlake in the championship. That championship game wasn’t close. 13 of Southlake Carroll’s 34 points came in garbage time in the 4th qt against westlake’s backups. IMO that was sort of a Cali style beating Saouthlake Carroll took against Westlake. Again it’s really unfortunate we won’t get to see Westlake compete against Duncanville and Southlake Carroll this year. Because Westlake may actually be better than they were last year.

I remember back in 2018 Mater Dei destroyed Bishop Gorman 42-0 and everyone thought it was the worst Gorman team ever but they actually won some national out of state games that year and destroyed everyone in state and won their state title. Duncanville is kinda like Gorman, people writing em off because of that MD loss but Duncanville is actually really good. Its MD is THAT good.

COACH SAMPLES NEVER SCARED TO PLAY A OOS TEAM NO MATTER HOW NICE THEY ARE..i played under him at skyline..my sophmore year we played glades central in florida then double back and played st.thomas aquinas and them mfs was cold af..my junior year we played me phis ridgeway who won a state title the prev year and then florida cocoa..what he does is make his players play to there full potential by playing great teams..this is why he has over 300 wins

Two amazing programs. I wish I had my son in these geographical areas. York tech in York Pennsylvania coaching is terrible. The culture is terrible. A. D. Caruso is terrible. Coach Matt Glennon running a wing T is horrible. He has won 2 games in 4 years. How does he still have his job. They don’t even have lights on the field so they play on Saturday’s. They didn’t have a training table until I complained and they got one with two games remaining in the season. It’s a dangerous football environment because the coaches don’t teach football skills and knowledge. My son will be a junior this year. And he is a really good player. But I see this weird people around him killing the love of the game he has had since he was 5 years old. We should have stayed in Polk county Florida.
