Dune 2 | How to Fly the Ornithopter?

In this video, we delve into the mechanics of how a Dune Ornithopter takes flight.
When stationary, the wings remain closed and held in place. Just before liftoff, it unfurls its eight wings and begins flapping them, emitting a sound reminiscent of a helicopter at full throttle.
However, the most pressing question is how it manages to avoid collisions with it's eight wings.
Our speculation leads us to believe that there's a certain degree of movement the Upper blade can move and locks it so that the Lower blade cannot clash with each other.
Slowing down the frames this is how it might work.
Upon reaching a specific altitude, the thrusters can be engaged to propel this extraterrestrial craft to remarkable heights.
But there's more to this craft, it can also morph into a glider by locking its wings.
what's even cooler is the sweeping of its wings to create this deep dive possibly this will create less drag when it wants to evade or attack an enemy target at high speed.
Just as it reaches the target it can apply this braking Process to avoid any crash by angling the wings just as shown in the animation which can resemble that of a bird stopping.

I love the movie's take on the design, the books suggest something more akin to an actual bird but the dragonfly style is super unique, my 2 fears for making this realistic:As mentioned the sheer forces are just too much; the second is why on earth anybody would bring a machine with so many moving parts to a desert planet haha

They fly like Dragonflies do! Each wing acts independently allowing the ship to control the angle and speed of each of their four wings as needed and allowing it to adjust for turbulence. I can see this actually working! basically each wing is its own brain that sends feedback to the other wings and the central computer. Dragonflies are fast and nimble they are like the F-16's of the bug world!

I dont think its controlled how you were saying rather throttle is appiled by twisting the handle on the right stick and pulling/push the handles rolls it pushing both will pitch the aircraft as seen in Microsoft flight sim changing the throttle will make it go up and down feel free to challenge my theory Edit: the foot pedals are rudders like from a regular aircraft

Sorry, but this doesn't explain anything! How those flapping wings could make it fly?!! I mean at first each wing goes down and creates some force to move the vehicle up, but after that it goes immediately up again making the vehicle ho down again. Sorry, but if you study dragonfly of bird or anyhing that flaps its wings, you can see that the movement of the wing is very complicated to make it work. For example the bird's wings go down completely stretched and they go up a bit bend and with different positioned of feathers. In insect I thing that the motion is kind of rotating in 8 shape... So.. ?!?!?!
