In the latest D'une 3's version, there is a killer feature: Genetics: take a couple of presets, and click "generate": it will lead you to uncharted territories of sound design, and you will understand that Dune 3 is problably the virtual synth ever made. You'll get incredibly complex stuff that i thought that only Absynth 5 was capable of. Through Genetics, i've accidentally created a dubstep grow, sounds reminiscing of the 90s techno, and the most outlandish soundscapes you could possibly create. FX, deep basses, lush pads, it can do it all

Have you tried it in Unify? Same idea but deals with CPU better, plus you can also add any other plug in! Dune 3 mixed with Zebra 2 and Pigments is out of this world lol

The best sound quality of any VST plugin, IMO. One of the nice things about Dune 3 is that you can keep it really simple and still get nice tones or go all out and create a gorgeous soundscape. And it is beginner friendly; just play around with OSC 3 to learn the basics of subtractive synthesis and then move onto the more modern stuff when you have a handle on whats going on.

Just got it, love the sound quality, it's not complicated and easy to tweak, but as you say, it's also a matter of taste. I have Falcon, which is a beast of complexity, but sometimes you have a tune trying to get out and need speed of editing a preset to help.

Yes :-). Although Pigments 3 is growing on me. And Alchemy still has a few surprises hidden away. But as a softsynth with convincing virtual analog, fm and wavetable capabilities, ease of use, impressive FX and ultra-low CPU usage, Dune 3 is awesome!

Pigments 3 is amazing but it takes too much of cpu usage. Dune 3 takes too much memory but they improved it in 3.5 update

I just tested the demo. I'm incredibly picky and till this day I haven't found a softsynth that could replace the old hardware VA synths in terms of sound and user interface. It takes the VA concept further and it sounds impeccable. Insanely good. I'm shocked. Is it the best sounding synth plugin. For me YES.

Dune 3 is awesome. What do you think about spire? Makes some amazing sounding pads. I think it's very underrated as well. Not many people talk about it

@@s1gns0fl1fe that may be part of their issue with popularity. that company really doesn't come out with many products but it's an amazing synth. I have a bunch of presets I downloaded but even just the factory presets are incredible. Really sounds like hardware.

I use Keys Step Pro to control and sequence some digital synthesizers installed in Ableton, including Dune 3, Arturia Pigment, etc.. I create music which is composed of several Synthesizer Presets. When I'm playing the song live, and I need to change from one Preset to another, I go into the Sound Bank of the respective Synthesizer and select the Preset to change. I ask: Is there a way in Ableton itself, or a Plugin, that I can select the Presets of each Synthesizer and from this selection/mapping I can activate the preset that I will use? As if it were a screen that showed the Tracks for each Synthesizer, with their respective pre-selected presets. Is there a more practical and agile way to do this?

You might check out "Unify" from PluginGuru. It's a pretty insane plugin that may do exactly what you are thinking of. He's also got a KZbin channel with several tutorials on it. Hope that helps!

The Most Powerful Synthesizer of All Times is SKYFALL. Because it uses Frequency Augmentation and other seventh generation first….it’s easily the best sounding synthesizer. It’s not even close.
