i would also like to say that maybe not taking out Doghead when he was really weak, and you were not the threat so to speak kinda costed you the win but i hope Doghead won the tournament he deserved it, played well indeed, ive been watching like 2w so seeing him win won was nice, it was so close well played man.

I love this councilor combo for Corrino. Tons of harvesting crew and stealing stuff all over the map. Plus, you know, double buildings. Smugs and Fremen were really working together against you it seemed

Another nice vid! Quick question, when bordering the fremen like this, and deciding not to ally the sietches, should nt you be burning them down to neutralize the advantages the fremen get? Edit: nvm. later in the game you came to the same conclusion.

Absolutely! I shouldn't have even entertained allying them because that wouldn't stop the Fremen from also getting them. In a fremen game Id recommend burning all sietches you find to the ground asap to deprive them of rally points/alliances/reinforcements

@@daevohk Thats kinda what turns me off using Paul Atreides, like yeah the auth boost is good early-mid game but sooner or later those sietches become liabilities against Fremen. Much prefer Dr Yueh, no investment needed for a solid early boost

It's tough because you need a little space and time to boom. If I wait till they're already attacking me then I risk not being able to capture stuff or have my captures contested and interrupted. But you're right it is hardly the first time that I've come up short.

@@daevohkDid you notice more aggro on you since you began posting the matches on youtube? I felt that, having watching all your videos since you start, that you are being more targeted. Welcome to Turin's life, I guess. That's not a bad thing ;)

@@daevohkquestion: How are the factions picked in the tournament? What are the rules for advancing for next rounds?

@@apoleonschneider Turin admins the tournament, he solicits top 3 faction picks and regions from each player. He then tries to match regions and players so everyone gets their top pick otherwise he randoms who might need to switch to second or third picks

Close game! Was wondering if an assassination would have been possible and if you could have used that to not have to 1v3?

It certainly would have made things easier, but assassins take time and preparation that I didn't feel I had available. It was a rush to put out fires everywhere. It's a good thought though, it might have been possible to setup on Fremen as a way of keeping them distracted at a crucial moment.

I've done it before in my House Ecaz Rises video. It might happen again in the future but it is mightily time consuming since dune games can run so long.

@@mikemac1298 I think wensicia is quite good with a big conscript army--it did not work very well against the Fremen here though due to their strong area attacks and massed melee. Arasham is a perfectly good hero choice as well.

Might have been able to grab the spot to the right, trouble was that sietch was where Fremen reinforcements were coming from so it could have been easily contested

It's why you always fight to the bitter end. Smugs were probably in third place there but after we hammered Atreides and I missed my chance they were set to capitalize on the chaos.
