Haha thanks. Was quite a lot of work last week. At chemo now, so no new recordings, everything up to sundayy has been prerecorded and scheduled

Love the content; always super instructive! Just a quick suggestion: upgrading the audio a bit might make the user experience even more immersive. Maybe a shotgun mic or using some noise-reduction software could help cut out the background sounds, like the frequent passing cars! Wishing you all the strength and healing in the world - keep pushing forward!

CapCut recently made noise reduction a premium feature, unsure if I wanna invest into it or another editing software. I’m going to try use a different headset next time. Hopefully it’ll be better

Tessia can get so out of hand sometimes. Playing digital has really made me appreciate the quality of your balance patches on the TTS format! Hope your treatment is going well, please keep the great uploads coming! It's been a pleasure watching them.

Is there a patch? I feel like Tessia is the most broken leader, she feels like one of these fan made super OP leaders. I hope for online gaming they do actually nerf leaders because playing online is like playing against same 3-4 leaders (Baron/Tessia/Duke) all the time.

@@Плут-с2о My coworkers and I play a couple of Dune Imperium games every week at the office, with Ix + Immortality. From our experience, improving the drafting system already goes a long way in making leaders more balanced. We go for a "snake draft" (leader / position), with 4 leaders in total. It makes the draft much more strategic, and going for the "top tier" leader isn't always the best choice. For example, sometimes, early picking a top-tier like Ilban can be dangerous, if Leto is in the draft, as the table would make sure the Leto player gets the position just before yours. Sometimes, the starting tech / rows can also shift the priorities. For example, if Memocorders are available, going Memnon / Rhombur + first position can become a decent choice. Of course, regardless of the draft, Tessia is always going to be a strong pick. But with the snake system, the other players can get compensation, make sure Tessia is going to have a weaker position (typically fourth), and stunt her opening. That doesn't mean re-balancing the leaders / cards wouldn't be a good idea as well… But with the draft, you can already improve the game balance without changing a single card.

@@GrandBenja thanks for sharing! Can you elaborate on "snake draft"? Not that i'll ever have people irl to play with xD but just curious. I've played online quite a bit and there are 2 things that i don't like 1) broken leaders. I do understand it's a board game and it feels kinda weird chanching rules of the already published game but many online games prooved some leaders are just broken. 2) Why they even add 1 vp at the start? I mean the game is already pretty fast with most games ending at 7th round, occasionally going 8 or even earlier at 5. This way it feels many cards/techs/perks are not even worth it because you won't get to use them all that much.

@@Плут-с2о Sure. The idea is, you pick 4 leaders (in total) at random. Then, each player rolls a die. The player with the highest score chooses one thing, either his leader or his position. Then the second highest chooses one thing, leader or position. Etc. After everyone made one choice, we make the second choice in reserve order. So the player with the lowest die score chooses his second thing (leader or position), then second lowest, etc. So if you get a high die roll and choose first, you may get the leader (or the position) you want (let's say, you pick Tessia), but you're then left with whatever position the rest of the table doesn't pick. If your die score is lower, you generally don't get the highest priority pick (Tessia, or second place…), but you get more control, and you can go for a combo. (Let's say, you can go third position + Rhombur because artillery is available. Or let's say, Leto + first position with the Corrino Genes opening. You know what you're getting into) I won't say it makes the game 100% balanced. But it does make the draft much more tactical, ensures every leader is played once in a while (since there are 4 in total), and it mitigates the strong leaders, since picking them gives other players a compensation. In fact, with this draft, the game is balanced thanks to the leaders being slightly imbalanced. (As for the extra VP, you start at 0 with Immortality. But yes, Dune Imperium is actually a fast game, where you need to get your engine ready early. If you build for the long-term too much, the game might end before your engine is operational. That's typically an issue when you build around conflicts. Again, that's the way the game is built: you have very few actions; each one needs to be optimised.)

@Th3120ck okay! I configured the videos to release to members. Which includes the next 5 which will upload daily. Till my chemo ends I plan to continue to upload when in off chemo. And stack the uploads into my chemo days.
