Dune - Main Theme (piano cover)

Hi everyone, here comes my performance of a quite sensational movie these days “Dune”
Inspired by music of Hans Zimmer and arrangement of Patrik Pietschmann I decided to present my own performance of such a great film soundtrack. Hope you enjoy it 😊✌🏻
The quote of this movie which I was touched most :
Fear is the mind-killer.

And when it has gone past...
I will turn the inner eye and see its path.

I love how effortlessly it looks as your hands work on the piano. And, I know for a fact, that this is hard. I started about a year ago "teaching myself" how to "play the piano". I don't regret even for a second doing so :) I'm on that phase that i couldn't find the strength/motivation to find a music school or a teacher. BUT, i understand, especially when i watch videos like yours, that it will cost me greatly one day. I mean, piano playing (or trying hehe) is something else, man. It is magical. It's nothing like I experience before in my life. It is so challenging! But you see, when you get to "teach yourself" songs like that one from Amelie movie (no way i'll remember how to write that right now) you know you're onto something. The first month was hell, seriously. I was like, i wanna play play Chopin but i dindt' know any fundamentals at all lol. Anyways, after maginging my expectations, I realised how great I was evolving in my jorning. And yet... i know (or i believe) that it will take a whole lot of time and effort to get to that point where i can play just as gracelly and effortlessly as you do performing this Dune video. I HOPE someday i'll be able to pull that off :D Thanks so much for sharing your work, Vladmir! It's so inspirational.

Someone has said that real mastery of playing an instrument is when the matter technique skill is not even a discussion. That is what I felt when I whatched you playing this music, your technique and your control in the piano are so internalized and mastered by you that the experience that I had was in a superior level, the level of interpretation, of leadind and letteing yourself being lead by the music, in a dialletic way that only a musician in the true sense of the word do. I wish I could at least play an Hanon exercice in a decent way kkk No words to describe, you are amazing. Greetings from Brazil!

I've listened to a lot of version of a lot of soundtracks of dune because I wanted the plah one of them and this is by far the best one. It is the only one that gives me the same emotion than the original sound verry impressive 👏🏻. If you're allowed to share this score, I'd love to play it. If you know where I can find it, that would be great. If not, I'll try to play it by ear 😆. If this is not possible, no worries. Your piece remains incredible and very well interpreted. О, наконец кто-то сыграл эту аранжировку на видео - долго отрабатывал? У меня эта композиция заняла примерно год, но до сих пор есть проблема с концовкой - сильно забиваются предплечья и болят - есть совет на этот счет?

Спасибо за просмотр 😊 Рад что понравилось, вся пьеса заняла от силы дней 10. Могу только сказать - постарайся уделять больше внимания плечам по ходу всего произведения, занимайся в медленных темпах и всегда следи за плечом , в медленном темпе все должно быть свободно, а потом постепенно наращивай темп с сохранением свободы в плечах.

Hello, I loved the perfomance! I have one question if you don't mind though, at 1:32 how do you do the pedaling? Do you release it before left hand octave? Thank you very much!

Thanks for watching. I take the pedal right when I press the octave in left hand, if I take it before it would sound quite blurry. This pedal should be taken slightly after you pressed the note, while your fingers are still on the keyboard you could change the pedal, then harmony will remain clean. Thanks for watching 😊
