@@NoahJJ24 This is modern humanity 20,000 years in the future. House Atreides traces its lineage back to ancient Greece and King Agamemnon, son of Atreus. They live on Caladan, the water world whose name seems to derive from Caledonia, the name the Romans gave to what is essentially now Scotland. The Greeks had bagpipes, and today one of the last strongholds of the bagpipe is Scotland. But those weren't even bagpipes. That was an electric guitar, but obviously Zimmer's genius made it sound like a bagpipe.

I love how Hans Zimmers soundtrack both has its entirely own tone and at the same time has moments where you almost feel that the soundtracks previous incarnations break through. Which for me has a nice parallel to the nature of the Reverend Mothers and the Kwisatz Haderach (bookies will know). In this one, you feel a lot of Hans Zimmer, but also a noticeable note of Toto's soundtrack of the David Lynch version but also a very strong strain of Frank Klepackis soundtracks for the 90s Dune games. Electric Guitar + a slow, heavy, melancholic piano track and the Church Bell at the end, that's big Klepackis Dune energy.
