I watched part 2 yesterday and I admit I truly loved it and was very captivated by it. However after watching the movie some problems popped up in my head. Some might call them nitpicks but you can make up your own mind. I am made to accept that Paul learned all the ways of the desert from the Fremen and they brought spice production, an operation that has been going on for 10,000+ years, within several to six months. You might ask where I get that number. Simple, Paul's sister Alia who hasn't even been born at the end of part 2. Even in the books human gestation is still nine months. Plus in the books and the movies that make it clear it took Paul and the Fremen years to inflict enough damage to cause any disruption. Again it might be a nitpick but I can also see it as a major cheat that can undermine the beauty of the movie if or when people catch on. I could also bring up how the Spacing Guild is all but non-existent which those who aren't well versed in the Dune universe might not notice or care but it is important because it is the sole entity that controls interplanetary travel and it is one of the enemies that Paul had to confront and control in order to rule the Empire. Again I know it again it may sound like a nitpick but it just bothered me after watching such a beautiful piece of art.

Thank you so much for sharing your interesting reflection @jeremyschaber4588! Perhaps Paul learned the ways of the fremen so quickly because he is the true Lisan al gaib, haha :-)
