A love child of fuzz, smoke and grove called LUCY - that is the second LP created and recorded live by the desert rockers of DUNE PILOT. Aggressive walls of guitars, thrashing rhythms and two voices that seem to be able to carve metal, put the Munich based foursome between Kyuss and Fu Manchu, but somehow on their very unique planet. Following the barren and minimalistic debut, the successor LUCY is notably more ostentatious. The primal riffs will hit you at least twice as thick. The Hammond organ in “Willow” reveals the band’s hard rock roots and despite the “punch in the stomach attitude” of the new songs there is still a place for a Space-Cadet-Style acoustic guitar. LUCY will be released as 180g vinyl in black, a limited 150-piece edition in translucent red and as digipack.
