Man smugglers feel the weakest in military by a huge margin. Seemed like you were completely at everyone's mercy as soon as a couple months passed, but unwisely they left you alone to scheme.

We traded OK for the most part. You just need to be really choosy with engagements since so much of your strength is locked into your snipers and them keeping range from their targets.

Yeah would love to see you play more smugglers, as for the game idk how you managed to win, it was played pretty poorly as the smugglers go and other players could destroy you pretty much anytime, maybe they were not experienced enough. Hope to see more games! :)

Great videos, but does anyone else hear the hum of a motel vending machine in the background?

I think the "environmental" sound of the game may bug out or just sound like a hum. I'll try killing it since it isn't adding a whole lot.

At a certain point it went out for a minute while game audio continued. Sounded like fluorescent lights to me.

Is there a reason you prefer the missile overlay rather than the airfield? I feel like easily spotting where the airfield coverage is weak is worth more?

You're right! I start with missile overlay on so I can see how far main base will help in early game. Then I try to switch to airfields later in the game... When I remember

Would like to know when the game make use of the word allies/ally unit’s army the effects and bonuses shall work on all factions in truce with you? Hidden explosives can be used by allied faction’s siege or only smuggler’s siege? Warbanner boosts every unit at truce or only ecazi’s? The +2 armor from smuggler’s capital UHQ works for the allied factions too? Im thinking and thinkering strategies for 2x2 and FFA short alliances XD

Yeah I think the instances where it mentions "Allies" ONLY works if it is set to teams pre-game. Not just to people you've truced with in a FFA. I don't do 2v2 much ever so I'm not as well versed in the deep lore there.

On this regard, I think the only cooperative factions would be Vernius, with tec exchange, Corrino, with Imperial Mandate and Smugglers, with water sewers/Village production bonuses, for FFA. Would like to know If the +2% bonuses for spice/manpower/intel from Smugglers UHQ works for every truced faction, since the wording is different there: “for you and your allies”. I hope it works on FFA, making Smugglers be more reliable and necessary in the eyes of other players

Maybe it’s just me but seems like all the content creators are surprised at their spawns, does everyone not know that smugglers spawn closer to the polar cap than other factions by default?

I think that is the old way and no longer correct. Anyone can spawn more forward toward the sink or further back.

This is just my uniformed opinion as a noob, but you probably would have had less issues with Plascrete if you actually took the Placrete village next to your base instead of constantly pillaging it. It was kind of infuriating to see you lament your situation while there was an easy solution right at your doorstep.

I started pillaging it early without expecting plascrete to be a painful bottleneck. Then I was very late to getting the tech that negates the pillage penalty. That penalty would have made it prohibitively expensive on authority until i have the tech. So I basically gambled on plascrete not being a problem by starting early pillages of the close plascrete region then suffered the consequences of never finding another good plascrete option around.
