I don't think you can finish that quickly except maybe on the smallest map, i play on normal speed and difficulty and three hours gets me to mid game. The depth and complexity I've seen so far from your playthroughs is amazing. This game is quickly shaping up to be a fantastic strategy game. I'm still struggling a bit with the House/Faction colours. Having played an un-Godly amount of hours way back in Westwood Studios' "Dune II: The Building of a Dynasty", seeing House Atreides as green (not blue) throws me for a loop. Green was House Ordos (similar to Smugglers, in that they were driven by smuggling, trade and profit). I'll get over the colour conflict eventually, haha. Keep the content rolling!

Raided the freeman caves over and over for vast amounts of money.

Apparently there is some talk that the Sardukaur already exist in this game and can come if smugglers (maybe others, but only heard smugglers) keep failing to meet bribery quota. This game looks more interesting the more I see about it. Still it feels silly to see the Fremen interact with the Landsraad and even use their troops 😂 Imo they should remove them entirely from the Landsraad mechanic and give them something unique. Maybe something with sietches voting on a certain buff, or demanding a certain mission be done otherwise you get a malus, for example destroying a harvester, raiding a village, etc.

tbf they don't get any votes at all - cannot get any as far as I could tell when I played. The only way they can cast votes is by using influence, which I suppose represents them bribing neutrals in the house to vote their way. Fremen also can't build a lot of things - including airfields, fuel depots, water extractor on the polar sink and more. They get some other stuff to make up for it, most of which makes them killy - like they can get a +5% power for every fuel natural resource they build a "ceremonial cave" on top of, and their spice extractors never summon worms because it's people on foot using the fremen walk and not a big ass robot making vibrations

Every region has some special trait you can see when you mouse over the little icon on the lower left when you click on it - you were getting those 20 solari bounties in combat because of that, I think. Also it looks like you keep missing the events that pop up and flash on the upper left part of the screen - be careful with that, some of those can hurt you a lot if you don't respond to them. The other icon in the upper left is affected by your spice bribes - if you pay the bribe as smugglers you gain an influence income, Fremen get more Authority, and Atreides and Harkonnen get Landsraad standing from paying spice taxes. If you miss the payment, though, bad things happen.

I think you got unlucky with the village placement. None of your villages are within missile range of each other (though you could have taken Yarekh which is range of Nun-nah). But you could have had Tablon, Runim, and Aidanim all in a triangle, which would have made your villages very easy to defend, especially if you took Aidanin from the Fremen

Interesting faction! You do like to play with dangerously low stocks of spice and money, I'd never let them get below 500 or so (I'm a hoarder). What happens if you partially fail a tax/bribe, is it not too bad? Now you have Landsraad standing, will you be losing that if you miss any more? The underground bases are awesome. Can you build them anywhere you explored, or only bordering your territory?
