A beautiful film. I absolutely loved the book and thought this would movie would be a nice try at doing it justice, but expectations were greatly surpassed. Amazing cinematography, amazing sounds and music. The actors were suberb. The styling and costume was such a good balance of new with recognisable traits of certain cultures that it sucked you into the story even more. Can't wait for the second part. Bravo! One of those rare movies to set a higher standard.

Thanks to a 1983 song from Iron Maiden "To tame a land" I got interested to read the book. The movie from the 80's was lame but this version is a big thumbs up! Hope they will make the next part soon.

I dislike the use of lasers, lore wise the Harkonnen would never risk using a laser weapon against a shielded ornithopter (or potentially shielded people), considering that would result in a nuclear blast that would level the entire city of Arrakeen, even the Emperor would not risk it considering the Landsraad would rise up against him.

It’s good that I didn’t buy it, but just rented it from my phone. Pixel 8 opens in HD resolution from a 4k LG TV with a maximum of 480 resolution. extremely disappointed with the purchase. I strongly do not recommend buying anything here.

One of the most overrated books ever. I have the first 3. Part 1 was oké. But the following books were horrible. Part 2 was like a music album from an artist who was forced to release an album too soon following the succes of his/their debut album. The only good thing about it was that it was a short book. I don't remember why I bought the 3th Children of Dune but stopped reading it after a some pages. It was just more of the same inspire-less crap of Dune Messiah. That is probably the reason I started thinking of writing a good SF book myself. Red a lot but never a truly good one. My book, the Fourth Planet, was released in the Dutch language in 2021. It took me 25 year to complete it! It is a Medieval sage with traces of SF and Fantasy. Hope to release it in English within a couple of years. Probably after my retirement. It was hard to write a book of which I demanded such high standards from myself, in combination with my job and life. That is why it took me so long. Also had to finance it. It's quite costly to release a 647 pages book. In all modesty, those who red it so far where amazed. 99% original. Keep in mind that even J.R.R. Tolkien was not 100% original, as he was inspired by Greek Mythology.
