Ive done alot of trail repairs and its amazing how many trail repairs stay a permanent repair until it becomes another problem. My only 2 cents as polite as i can be about it is to spend a little bit more time on the prep beveling metal makeing room for a strong weld and clearing the paint away to make a nicer weld. Now there is plenty of reasons that those things wouldnt be done. Like the customer wants a fast and nasty repair and as cheap or temporary as possible. My only caviat is when it reflects on me. Not very many people have any idea of what it really takes to make stuff happen when there is carnage so a large portion of people will cringe and think its hack work then the other side they think well i paid to fix it and its working so ill send it even though you may say this is temporary and to do this or that when you get to your repair channels near home. Again i totally understand what and why you have done most all the things you show. Great build repair videos

I'm same way bro I'm watching this guy beat a wheel/hub bearing In while talking crap on customer in take more value and do the job with great service knowing they might of paid not enough for your efforts but you know the job is done right prop brotha from a fabricator /welder / mechanic to another

@@DRTLYFE you guys have no idea what it takes to run a shop in Glamis… if you really watch the video we weren’t talking crap about the customer. We were talking about another customer who broke a lug stud, loose lug nuts on a Can-Am or razor are very common. We probably install 20 bearings a day…. yes press is the right way to do it but when you’re in GLAMIS time is money, not just us but the customer as well… I could spend four hours putting new wheel bearings in a customer‘s car with a press and tq everything to spec with a torque wrench…make 200 bucks for 4 hours worth of time, meanwhile wasting half of the duners day that he spent thousands of dollars to get out there. Most people are only there from Friday night until Sunday morning so they only get one real day of duning in.. or in less than 30 minutes, I can bang out a brokenwheel bearing with a sledgehammer tap it back in with a hammer make 200 bucks and the customer is happy as shit!! as well as FIX 20 to 30 other cars that day..(myself) mind you there are five of us there on a holiday weekend we probably fix or repair up to 100 cars per day…

@@duneaddict You are not wrong. Been duning for nearly 30 years. Actually worked for JoJo for a couple seasons out there. "If it'll get me through the weekend..." was the most common response.

The roll cage on the vw ignitor job car looks deadly. Shouldn't there be a center bar in between the front and back seats? Love the videos and awesomeness. Thank you

At 13:29 he'll never get cage connectors install.. people spend tons of money on cages, seats , light bar etc but never on something for reliability.. the radius rods and lower and upper a-arms should've been replaced first. They're the weakest link.

Bro, @thelifeoffastony1157 i've been riding this car for 4 years and things happen but best believe had I known this was a common problem I would've invested the money to avoid losing 2 days worth of riding. I already visited the UTV shop in city of industry today to get the cage connectors installed, they reccomended I call big boy toys in the IE, he makes cages but is too busy to mess with this. I called dessert works who is the manufacturer of my cage but nobody answers and the voicemail is full. So if you know where I can get the cage connectors installed please let me know.

I was thinking the same thing, but the Rogue tires are a lot lighter though. I'm curious to find out how it rode after that. Especially the phat wheelie potential with the new ground clearance

Car ran better than it ever had the old paddles had steel wheels, the rogues and aluminum wheels were almost 100lbs lighter. And that’s 100 lbs of rotational mass..
