Probably not the best time to post this. Have you been through since Helene & Milton? It’s devastating. It stinks so bad! I’m a local. The storm surge from Helene trashed the area. The docks are destroyed & closed. The tall palm trees on alt 19 from Milton are now leaning on light pole lines. Huge trees damaging homes. It’ll be awhile before pinellas county & HMI are back to any sense of normal.

Could not care less about water, views, old charm, nor million dollar houses. The most important thing to be outside flood and storm surge zones, and this house is not!

@@LivinginTampa Glad you were ok. And yes, I am so sorry for all who lost everything, and it seems in some areas that even those who were not in a flood/storm surge area, and therefore did not have flood insurance, were also gravely affected. This has me thinking twice about moving. I would definitely get flood insurance even if not in or near a flood/surge area, but hope more info becomes available as to why certain areas that usually don’t flood actually did so it can help inform where to buy a property.
