In the video I say that King Robert the Bruce is buried in Dunfermline Abbey and his heart is buried in Montrose and I was wrong saying that, Robert's body is indeed buried in Dunfermline Abbey, while his heart was interred in Melrose Abbey (NOT MONTROSE) and his internal organs embalmed and placed in St Serf's Church, Dumbarton. Take care, I hope to be back soon with a video of my next adventure, God willing. 😎

I live in Dunfermline and havee never heard Abbot House called the Pink Hoose
@lukehoneythunder2 ай бұрын
OK, thanks for that John. Abbot House has it's own website www.abbothouse.org and that is where I get the information from, they say the following on their webpage = "Abbot House is a beautiful ‘A’ listed building, dating back to at least the 16th Century. It’s situated within Dunfermline’s Heritage Quarter and is steeped in the rich history of Scotland’s ancient capital. The house is instantly recognisable by its colour and is known fondly as the ‘pink hoose’ by locals."

@@lukehoneythunder suppose it’s a bit like everyone says the Glasgow subway is called the clockwork orange which no local calls it

Great video. However King Robert the Bruce was indeed buried in Dunfermline but his heart is buried in Melrose, not Montrose.

Ahhh thank you very much for that, I misunderstood the guy who told me (well he did speak with a very broad, strong accent) and I honestly thought he said Montrose. I stand corrected Sir 👍

@@lukehoneythunder haha that explains it. Montrose and Melrose do sound very similar in a broad Scottish accent.
