Darkness traps are sometimes destroyed by Djin, is this unavoidable?

When I do use darkness tra0s on this map, the northwest and the east traps are normally the ones that get destroyed. This is most likely due to your Appre tice not having enough range. I wouldn't spec into range for my App, though.

@@Theoran1911 My Adept stats is... 3744, 7045, 3815 and 4440. Of course, I boost with Guardian during Survival. Other than Rate, I don't think my status is much different from your status in the video. Is it because of Rate?

It's because of range, most likely. Your App wants a 6:5 ratio of dmg to rate. So if you are speccing into dmg, you will want to spec into rate to get as close.as.you can to a 6:5 ratio.

Is there an advantage to opening the chest during the wave?

No advantage. Opening them during combat just saves time. You could potentially save 30s per wave opening during combat, which could save 7 or more minutes per run.
