Really helpful video to improve. Love long form content.

I'm glad you enjoyed it! I'm not the greatest KZbinr, so I never know how these types of videos will do, not everyone likes the longer stuff, but it's awesome to hear even 1 person does, so thanks for commenting!

@@TheMotivationCC You got another sub mate! Hoping to see more rogue gameplay! by the way have you tried dual blades with rogue? for close combat they do a lot of damage and can break blocking, and the charge attack can do great, nearly as good as backstab....that said i miss the knock back when blocking a lot hahaha still trying to decide between DB and daggers
@TheMotivationCC5 ай бұрын
@@James10411 I appreciate that a lot, thank you! I do really enjoy playing Rogue, even though I'm a Fighter main, so I always dabble in Rogue a little (mostly while streaming over on Twitch). I have tried Dual Swords, I love the damage output, but like you said, you miss the knockback from blocking, which saves your ass against DKs and Fighters. I also miss the no movement speed penalty with Daggers (though you can switch to a potion or torch to also lose that, but then you don't have a weapon out). Also with swords, the guard break is nice, but the first part of the sword combo (the 3 slashes) is pretty weak, to get to the harder hitting parts, you have to stay in someone's face for a little longer than I'd like on a squishy Rogue.

@@TheMotivationCC cool! fighter is nice and thanks for your opinion on the blades! i think i will keep rocking daggers for all the benefits. i Main 50% 50% rogue and pyromancer, liking a bit more rogue but pyromancer feels powerful hahaha keep the good vids dude!

You play really well. I noticed that you rarely try to finish your opponents even when you are winning. You don’t worry that they will heal themselves while you let them go away? Is it by purpose?
@TheMotivationCC5 ай бұрын
Thanks! Um, it's hard to say. Do you remember a certain situation where it happened? There's potentially a lot of reasons, so I'd have to know the context.

at 1:24:40 you went into your inventory and clicked the thunderclap potion and it went into quickslot "5". whenever i click a consumable it goes into slot "3". Is there a way to specify into which slot a consumable will default to when rightclicking it?
@TheMotivationCC5 ай бұрын
Sadly I don't think so. I'm very particular with what slot my items go in, so that would be nice. It just automatically went there because the other 2 slots were full, so it defaults to the empty slot, or to a slot that has that same item in it already.
@Freakatwar5 ай бұрын
at 49:45 you swapped dagger slots. does it really matter? don't you always attack with both daggers?
@TheMotivationCC5 ай бұрын
I'm not actually 100% sure. Usually I just like to have my "worst" dagger, or worst ring etc. in my leftmost slot, just because when you compare items, it seems to always compare the leftmost item.
@Ak3R05 ай бұрын
You were close with your gear level damage calculation... However, it is not item specific. For example, it is not: 3 attack dagger vs 3 def chest. The calculation is based on a sum of your +Attack vs the sum of enemy's +Def.

Buying and selling pretty much everything. Doing runs like this, starting with nothing and only using stuff I find and selling everything else. Knowing what to prioritize picking up to sell helps too. (Picking up up 2x2 sized Gear instead of Treasures for example, typically is worth more).
