Both games have next to no effort put into them, but Dark and Darker is just plain better even despite having worse mobs and worse dungeon. I'm a previous top 10 player worldwide at Dungeonborne last playtest, I spent a lot of time with it. The gameplay just isnt as interesting and too arcadey. Dark and Darker is more of a simulation

you're using daggers. When you block you get knocked back. You block 1 whirlwind hit and you are out of it and can just walk away.

9:53 well yes and no Your weapon also has a hitbox, and depending how you swing you could hit a wall or you friend. I get your point, this game is not for everyone, can be frustrating MOST of the time, still I'm enjoying it. Well everyone has it own preferences 🤷‍♂️

I could not tell, maybe it's very bad with the daggers specifically. In both games it seemed like the actual reticle had to be on the enemy at a certain point in the animations or it would miss, so trying to aim right on something while you're both moving felt very bad.

@@vknives with dark and darker, like he said the weapon is a hitbox, so the reticle is more a guide to where your center screen is or for ranged attacks. The reticle is just a center dot where the swing will hit at some point during the swing, but only for a split second, so if you only aim with the reticle you would need to hit that split second every time. With melee you want to put the enemy in the path of the weapons swing, the reticle is often times not the best way to do that. Each of the weapons have different swing patterns and reach and sometimes you can get more reach out of weapons by not aiming on reticle to hit with certain points in the swing. It has a bit of a learning curve to it, but is really fun once you figure it out. I may be a bit bias though as I've been playing since the first playtest. Devs make some strange choices sometimes and love to revert changes back to what it originally started out at, but they evetually make it there. The game has come a long way since playtest one in terms of balance.

yo Dark and Dark is a good game, its a hard learning exp but you'll get there it just takes time plus it does kind of suck that you picked one of the more objectively harder classes in the game Rouge is a great class with high dmg but very low hp I recommend fighter as a starter they do good dmg and have good hp but also Dark and Darker is not controller compatible to my knowledge so that could have also ruined your exp with the game but if it's not your type of game then that's fine should say I'm not here to hate just trying to see if you'll give it a second chance cuz I do love the game.

Doesnt block then cried that he died, he plays a rogue that has the lowest HP so he need to kite but he goes 1v1 in the face, take sword master for that rogue is like a ranger in this game you have to use the Crossbow. Im talking about Dungeon Borne

Just kite at 1mph with no sprint or dodge button and massive reach disadvantage. I will only play a dual wielding rogue in all games. The balance is bad so I think the game is bad.

is crazy how mostly of this could be resumed "i picked the game, i wasnt good at it,then is bad" , atleast with dark and darker, i played dungeonborne, and there is HUGE balancing isues, but most problem i see it you playing with controller really, the game is way way way way easier on keyboard and mouse since thats what the majority of people uses, controll support (i suppose) will be refined later in the development. But even so, these are basically competitive game, you cant expect casual gameplay from it, you gave up in the beginning of the learning curve and decided it to call it a "crime" against gamers, is like going into cs2,valorant, LoL, play it an hour, get a horrible K/D/A and calling it a bad game because of it, the problem is you. also cmon man, both game on early access and with frequent updates is expected to have errors, but mostly is just you complaining, you didnt even bother trying to dodge,block or do anything than smashing your head against the opponent. also give yourself some help and play on keyboard (if you can, you could have accessibility issues). tldr: you got mad and posted a 20 min vid showing how bad you are on these games while calling them bad

Dark and Darker offers great blocking, but rouges are not meant to block, use a class that can block... Dungenborne is easier in terms of way more forgiving gameplay, to survive the dungeon you need to learn the game mechanics
