The paladin has big "party has gone so far off track, so DM makes an NPC to get party back on track" vibes
@kingskelett6265 Жыл бұрын
Alternatively, the DM gets a really experienced player for a couple sessions to ensure that the party is competent enough to get the thing.

We had one lawful good in a party of chaotic neutrals, and she absolutely had been the only one holding them back from batshit shenanigans on multiple occasions. After 15 levels and 6 years of play, they finally corrupted her PC and she’s now true neutral lmao. So I had to do exactly the two things you mentioned

I love how the bit where it turns out their pardon was approved was VERY in line with an actual campaign where the players get too excited about putting their "clever" escape plan into effect and commit to it before the DM has a chance to reveal that the Charisma check their Bard just made was REALLY not that difficult and they succeeded with ease.

It was established that Xenk has excellent hearing, even when Edgin tries to whisper. Given that, does anyone else wonder if Xenk was originally going to just walk around the rock, but changed his mind because he could hear Edgin’s commentary?

i read on honest trailer's comment section of their DnD trailer that Jean actually didnt know he was recorded or even being told how he was supposed to walk out, even Chris Pine's comment was not in the script, they really wondering how Jean gonna walk through the rock and he literally did walk over it 😭😭 which actually captures the naive flat Paladin NPC character and its just really my favorite funny moment 😂😂

I heard a DM sigh in resignation at the whole portal painting gambit. I heard the roaring laughter of player and DM as the sorcerer failed his concentration check on major image, and the description of what happened thereafter. I could feel the DM yes-and-ing a player asking out of character if the red dragon was like, REALLY fat. I could hear the druid describing how the owlbear pummelled the red mage into the ground and the natural 20 on the throw earning the coup de gras via statue. It was just so brilliant.
