People may not know this. But these are actually native to the Western American deserts and are regionally known as Graboids.

@tyronedavies86802 жыл бұрын
I like to use them as carrion beasts more than ambush predators. If a party of adventurers has to come back the way they came and slew a few monsters on the way, have a couple of Gricks tryin to drag the corpses away, maybe while taking a bite here and there. Of course, they then get aggressive when approached :)

Hello AJ, another great video. The Grick was actually the first creature that my first party ran into from the underdark before any other, surprisingly. I wanted to ask you a question during your last live stream but it seems I was too late. In your Spellweaver video you had mentioned a Mirrior Universe that the Spellweaver's discovered with a race called the... Nira? Neara? And you said you were going to make a video about it later. You start talking about it at ten thirty on the time scale, and I'll put a link here. My question was, is that still going to be a video? Or is that just a scrapped idea now, since your spellweaver video was from the start of this year. Again thank you so much for you dedication to unearthing this lore and ecology about Dungeons and Dragons. In addition, I was wondering, since you are making this as like reference material, do you think it would be possible for you to list off the sources of the information in some of your videos? I'd love to try to find specific books that had certain creatures or places in them. Best of luck and wishes with the move! kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z5W5opSZgrWSoLMm30s

I've been using these almost exactly as you described. I try to build living dungeons in adventure locations. I've been using these things as one of the carrion eater species or as a random encounter for tunnels in the like.... Never had one show up on a city street before lol.

I really love the Grick ever since my uncle threw two at the party in the Sunless Citadel. I have such a deep connection to them and I don't know why... Imagine the party is wandering through a deep cave and they run into a Grick nest with little gricks all over and 2 alpha gricks. It's like a extremely well preserved ecosystem of these creatures. It would be tough but fun.

12:54 am where I am and AJ uploads another video of course I’ll watch. Anyways, a question AJ, how come the Devil in the Christian Religion stats don’t appear in any official 5e content, why did it stop at 3E? I’m trying to not have your content demonetized otherwise I’d say more understandable names so sorry if you are confused.
@jacobwilson85796 жыл бұрын
Technically you could argue that said figure still exists in Azmodius and similar lords of HE-double hockystick
@lycansdietired78376 жыл бұрын
Jacob Wilson of course one can do that I personally didn’t know said being was in the game until I looked it up a few hours ago. So now knowing said being created Infernus after getting his butt kicked out of the avernus by asmoedues and the other archdevils (this was In 3rd edition of i am correct) I would like to say there could be a piece of them in all of them in essence. Just him being a completely different being already in game is what got me to ask this question because I thought asmoedeus was said being just with a different name.
@AJPickett6 жыл бұрын

It may be a monster for the sake of categorization but It seems more like any other deadly animal or organism. In my opinion it is more like an ecological parasite. Not good not evil. Has just enough instinct to survive and reproduce to its fullest life cycle. And nothing more to be said.
