I'm knee deep in the spirit world via Psilocybes Cyanescens and I can't put my finger on it so I'll just say it the best I can: You present a subject without condescension, contrivances, or pretension while maintaining the facade of a reliable narrator in a fantasy setting. Great discussion. Giants are some of my favorite monster types in the Realms. I think the Ordning is a cool idea (though, sadly not used to its full potential, but that's what homebrew is for), I love the idea of an ancient feud between Giants and Dragons, and I enjoy the sheer variety of Giants, even if there are a couple individuals I don't much care for (e.g. why the monstrous Ettins are Giants and not Giantkin or Hill Giants, which feel redundant with Ogres and don't have the elemental properties most of the other True Giants have). Still, these are really, really cool.

Great video and awesome expansion to your last video AJ. My favorite giant-kin to add are the wood ones. In my last campaign where I had them, the PC party left the human-dominated area to solve the wood giant problem. They ended up speaking to wood giant leaders after a while and took the giants' side over that of the forest-unfriendly humans.

Great work AJ. You even mentioned the newbie giants from MM3! Technically there were some similar giants in MM2 (Sun, Ocean, and Mountain), but they aren't particularly interesting. Your treatment of the giants has taught me just how rich the Forgotten Realms lore for giants really is, and the magnitude of Annam All-Father's power. If he returned to active participation in the affairs of the Realms, would he even have to listen to Ao? That's amazing! Annam All-Father and the Lady of Pain are the only two beings I can think of that could sass Ao and get away with it. XD

Considering that's your interpretation of the Goliath origin (or at least your preferred one and honestly I cant knock it) I'm guessing you don't care much for the Goliath pantheon presented in Races of Stone? (personally they're one of my favorite pantheons and I'm still salty they aren't in 5e)
