This was very informative! Beyond just a breakdown it's like a full guide to make your own dungeonstep tracks! Describing the drums as breathing is a good way to put it On the DungeonStep Womp are you also highpassing the reverb at 400k?

I high pass my reverbs differently depending on the sound. Basically depending on how much frequency content there is in different areas. Too high a cutoff and the reverb sounds tinny and lifeless, too low and the mix becomes boomy and washed out. Each sound has a sweet spot, and as long as the reverb is similar sounding on each sound the cutoff can change from sound to sound to preserve the unique character of each timbre and frequency profile. So to answer your question: I have no idea.
