They gotta be using Bizzare pallets. I have yet to take apart a pallet not destroying the boards from it breaking where the nails are. Be ok if want like a 4vinch long piece

Get you a pallet buster. $50 on Amazon. You'll rarely break any more boards with it. I also bought the punch nailer to remove nails. Both are game changers. Takes a multiple hour thing of breaking down enough pallets for my projects, to about 15-30 minutes. I also use a metal detector before I run any board through my jointer, planer or table saw.
