Imre Galambos, Professor of Chinese in the Faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Cambridge, examines how manuscripts from the Dunhuang Library Cave reveal the cultural and linguistic complexity of the region during the period before and after the cave was closed in the early eleventh century. Shih-shan Susan Huang, Associate Professor of Transnational Asian Studies at Rice University, acts as moderator.
This lecture is part of the "Transnationality and the Silk Roads" webinar series co-hosted by the Dunhuang Foundation and Rice University's Department of Transnational Asian Studies.
