The levels in this game really do get progressively more tedious and frustrating, which is a shame. This game has so much going for it in other ways, though. The sound design and just general charm of this game is great. There's so many nice little touches and genuine creativity that went into it. It will always hold a special place in my heart for those reasons. A lot of the mechanics haven't aged well, but it still makes me happy to play it. :)

100% agree and is super hard to find in modern games I’ve mostly given up on modern games because of it. The nice little touches and creativity and details and just how magic everything feels is hard to find

Its super unfortunate that this emulator doesn't show off ALL the games flair. Ex: the pause screen is supposed to only bulr the game into the background, not just a black screen, and the death animation for the enemies doesn't occur. Still 9/10 tho!

I'm surprised Dunko doesn't have an Everdrive (not sure if the games run better on native hardware) or a modded Wii or Wii U or anything like that, or that he doesn't bother with a capture card even. Him relying on pc emulators seems bush league for a donkey of his caliber

Donkey Konga 2 was great but the soundtrack for the first one was a lot of classic songs and the soundtrack for the second one was disappointing if you weren't into pop songs and top hits on the radio during the time. It's definitely dated.
