Its an Ok Ok film definitely not better than 3 idiots, Munna Bhai and all, the humour didn't work for me but its a feel good watch, definitely recommended. 👍. Storytelling is nice, Vicky Kaushal was the centre of attraction and Shahrukh Khan was also good.

Actually it was no lesser than any other Raju Hirani movie but the era we are watching in makes it feel a bit differently. As an audience we have stopped loving innocent characters and the simplistic storytelling. It will surely age well as Swades did because its message is more universal than any other Raju Hirani movie.

Just came back after watching Dunki. I don't remember the last time I cried and laughed this much in the theatre. Amidst, all the action and violent theme based movies, we sincerely needed this movie. Once again, the story is the real star here. All the performances were brilliant, seriously not a single bad performance. SRK was amazing as usual no doubt about that, I became a fan of Tapsee, the other two supporting actors and Vicky's subplot was heart touching. Go watch it with your whole family and friends. I'm planning for a second re-watch.❤️

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Dunki ✈️ is triumph, masterpiece and outstanding. So far bollywood's best movie ever till date. 5 star is the least I can give although this movie deserves grace stars as well. What can I say about this masterpice, just now left the theater with tears. This movies makes you smile, makes you laugh, makes you emotional, makes you cry, makes you feel patriotic, and eventually makes you realise about homecoming. Old Srk's entry shot in the feild is amazingly shot by RKH. Srk was charming, enthusiastic, and sentimental as Hardy. Punjabi Accent doesn't come naturally to him but still he did a good job with his accent. In emotional scenes and dramatic scenes, no one can match SRK'S intensity. His eyes emotes everything. Vicky Kaushal shines supremely. He has few scenes in first half and have some flashback scenes. There is one drunken scene between Srk and Vicky where he overshadowed Srk. You never want that scene to end. Its so so so good. Taapse looked natural and she played her character very well. Boman Irani and other supporting character also did a very good job. I am short of words for Rajkumar Hirani. He is an institution of filmmaking. His best work till date. He made each scene magical, entertaining yet so realistic. If i have to rank Raju Hirani movie till date, it will be: 1: Dunki 2: 3 Idiots 3: PK 4: Munna Bhai MBBS 5: Lage Raho munna bhai 6: Sanju Songs and bgm was so amazing and impactful. "Nikle the kabhi hum Ghar se" and "Chal ve vatana will make you cry". "Lutt putt geya" makes you smile. "Mahi ve" makes you fall in love with Srk once again.

I'm barely a fan of any film actor. And I didnt like Dunki when I watched it in theatre this morning with my friends. As people claim it to be masterpiece I didn't see it. Yes it's a good film and you'd like it more when you go watch with your family you'll have a good time laughing together, relate with characters and all. But as I seen in the trailer it's nothing more nothing less. If it's good what's the problem? Well when I went to watch the film I didn't go for Shahrukh Khan. I simply went to watch it for Hirani. I expected the level of Munna Bhai MBBS, Lage Raho Munna Bhai, 3 Idiots level of impact or more than these films but definitely not any less.

As an immigrant who has immigrated from Afghanistan to Uk at the age of 7. Well my dad went through the hardship as an illegal immigrant and became citizens and brought me and siblings to uk legally through immigration visas. How the journey was portrayed in movies was very similar to real life however it was very even more harsher( my dad told us about the stories he had to go through). The reason am writing this is because the movie is fantastic. I couldn’t stop crying. The emotions shown something I could relate all lot. Just a beautiful story. Mind you I have been watching Bollywood from young age around 8 so much that I can even understand Hindi and speak little so it even more advantageous because words are very powerful. I was very excited because recently only action movies have been out but this movie didn’t disappoint. Love India 🇮🇳

In the end the movie tries to say that countries should not have immigration restrictions. It might look nice to anyone who wants to go to USA, Cannada, Europe etc but are we willing to accept people from countries like Sudan, Laos,Yemen, Uganda, Ethiopia , Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Ecuador,Haiti…? Will you accept them coming into our neighbourhood without any prejudice?

I really don't know what you are talking about. There are so so many flaws in the movie. 1. The film doesn't justify the title itself. The pain of Dunki route is shown just for half an hour. 2. For a single moment, I never saw Hardy on the screen. It was all SRK. Or Rahul from his 90s movies. 3. When I saw some shorts, I really thought Tapsi and Vicky are couple and SRK might be the teacher or any other relevant character. I was blown away when I saw that SRK is romancing Tapsee. 4. Vicky's potential has not been utilised at all. Idk if there was protwith me or everone felt the same but I really didn't feel anything when he sets himself on fire. 5. It's shown that the year was 1995. However, the setting wasn't appropriate. Eg. A lady wearing pants is being criticised by her fellow villagers but Tapsee learning kushti or roaming with boys was casual. I really don't think, people specially north Indians were so liberal at that time. (However, this might be my personal observation and might not be true for others.) 6. There were so many loopholes in the movie and the movie gives so many wrong messages. Tapsee is shown as opportunist. Whenever, SRK in love helps Tapsee in Dunki route to discover that she's not interested in going back to India when he's being deported and may call him after 25 years, having the audacity of not having contact with him for 25 years with SRK, to help her reach back to her country. So, it was kinda toxic relationship. 7. In turn, SRK is also opportunist. 6 people go for Dunki, 3 people being dead mid-way, SRK doesn't feel need to tell their family members about their death upon arriving back to India after deportation, leaving them unanswered about their children. 8. Now, SRK uses identity of those dead people to help his girlfriend and friends to reach back to home. 9. The pain of people dying is not shown properly and somewhere, I feel it was just casual.

I felt the movie was Ok. My only problem with the movie was Raju Hirani using the same story template in all his movie. It's one guy (SRK) who take unconventional steps to help his friends . One friend narrating the story , one love angle, same character...same flashbacks ....I expected better

When I listened to Nikle the kabhi hum ghar se in theatre in climax dude I broke down in tears after a long time in theatres.... classic Raju Hirani flick not his best film or a masterpiece It has some flaws but not at all they'll ruin your experience. Effective in its storytelling, theme, old school humour and emotions and finally characters from mid 2000s comedy movies that I love and care about watch this film theatres repeat value of rhk films is awesome

Srk is Srk ,a legend, because of his responsibility of choosing these type of movies( Swades ,Chak de India)...he won't ever do a trash film like Animal which is promoting so many problematic issues and violence. Animal might be ten times bigger hit than Dunki but Ranbir Kapoor can never be SRK neither Sandeep Reddy Vanga can ever be Rajkumar Hirani because srk and Rajkumar Hirani make movies for their love for movies, for humanity and rather not to gain controversy and for money. It's really disheartening that film like Dunki isn't celebreated as Animal in our country.

Being an immigrant myself in US, I have seen so many people around me who are struggling and suffering everyday to survive; even legal immigrants have their own mental struggles everyday regarding issues of documentation, visa and so many things; so many people have lost their jobs since Corona, just because of the messed up immigration processes in different developed countries; how much ever you try to justify its ok to go back to your native country, its ok not to settle abroad etc., once someone comes to a different land, has dreams and visions to succeed, they will do everything to stay there and survive; giving up that life goal becomes like losing life...... I totally relate to that mindset which is a common thread between all immigrants, legal and illegal; so I was totally rooting for this film; I am glad such a relevant topic has been picked especially in this modern world of globalization, and am looking forward to watch it soon....
