The White Fang is awesome. It’s the only pick I’ll play for anything from modern country (yes) to metal. I keep going back between the 1.0 and 1.14. Such a great feel with this pick.

Hell yeah it is!! I haven't touched any other pick since I started playing these. I haven't tried the 1.0, but maybe I'll grab a pack just to see how they feel. Thanks for watching, and subscribe for all new videos every week. Have a killer unboxing this Wednesday 🤘

I have the 1.0 and am playing them more than the 1.14. I think the 1.14 plays easier, but I like the 1.0 tone a little more.

I still play with the purple tortex standard 1.14 but I gotta say, I’m very impressed with the white fang. I have the 1.14 size and I love it. I tried the black fang but didn’t really like it at all. So white fang all the way🤘🏽
@bergy43674 жыл бұрын
i recently ordered the white fang to try it out and i was happy to see a textured grip on the pick i currently use the black fang and i get pretty sweaty fingers but overall solid picks hope i like the white fang just as much if not more.

I got the white fang today and I love it. It has a great feeling but there’s one problem. That problem is the paint chipping off. Otherwise they are very good.
@Sk8Riffer4 жыл бұрын
I never had that issue. Actually one issue I had was them getting a bit slippery when my hand got sweaty from playing. I've since started playing the Bea flows and absolutely love em. Give them a try, only $6 on Sweetwater. Thanks for watching 🤘
@mayonnaisepsychology10144 жыл бұрын
TheWoodsman might take you up on that advice. Keep the vids coming and rock on! 🤘
I prefer the Black Fang. it's definitely harder to play with, but once you really learn how to hold it (it likes to be more flat on the string) and how much pressure to keep on it, it's BRUTAL sounding and it doesn't spin like Jazz IIIs tend to. I think the Black Fang sounds kinda like playing with a sharpened coin. It's really chalky and thick sounding and has an almost violin bow scratchiness to it. Not a great pick for leads, but it destroys for Thrashy rhythms. Any kind of Flow pick is gonna sound awesome, but my issue with them is their point goes dull too fast. I get about a week out of one.
@hudsonthomas70014 жыл бұрын
That point with the white fang helped me with the soloing

love the tone of the black fang, ever since i started using the thing years ago i havent switched to anything else. I find the sharp tone amazingly chunky with a defined attack. Every note sounds and feels like it was picked by satans nails. Really thinking about the white fangs now. so sick! Thanks for doing this video!

Tried both. For me (maybe the color, looks, size.. I dont't know) the white fang in my hands seemed somehow oldschool (no doubt it' still agressive and energetic) and the black fang - opposite, feeling modern. For some industrial metal/blackmetal the black fang feels just right. Today ordered 36-item pack of those 1.14 blackfangs and I play so rare, maybe it'll be enough for me for whole lifetime, ahhah).
@ellesartelcontar1533 жыл бұрын
I tried both for long time. Surprisingly, I went back to Black Fang. It has a more aggressive top and I have a better control when I shred faster. But I do agree the material on Black Fang is less endurable than the White Fang. I guess its up to the taste of the person playing

Dude James hetfield Rarely slides with his picks , he's king of down picking. Granted he slides once and a while. I've used these since 2014, I've never had any issues, everyone plays differently some have heavier hands then others.
@Sk8Riffer4 жыл бұрын
Yeah I know he doesn't, but I was giving my honest opinion about em just in case people did use them for slides. I think they're great picks, just think if you're using them for slides they'll get chewed up fast. Honestly I don't slide that much either, just happened to be tracking a song where I did. I've actually been using the new Bea flow picks and those have become my new favorites
@Coggler1010102 жыл бұрын
It's worth mentioning that the statement about their size being same is a bit inaccurate. Yes, they are about the same width and have a similar feel, but the black fangs are a bit longer. So if anyone prefers a slightly longer pick than the Flow pick (like the Dunlop TIII, or Clayton Black Raven), go for the Black fang.
