I'm thoroughly enjoying the Snare of The Week series. Very detailed and highly educational.

@@rickdior But you have to choose! The fate of humanity depends on it!. What snare would it be? Hmm, maybe that would make a great topic for a video?

@@rickdiorI have 30 snare drums and picking a favorite is impossible. It depends on several factors including the room, and location in the room or do I want metal or wood. You can never have too many!

Really enjoy your playing. That drum set sounds great. I especially love the 10” tom sound and the china.

Great vid ... Love Dunnett snares ... I have 2 .... Brass2N from 2014 and a Titanium from a little earlier. Dunnett snare beds are quite wide ... Roughly 3 inches (maybe a little more), and they accomodate the 42 strand snares quite easily. The drum is very hard to choke. That engraving is amazing !! Drum sounds amazing. You playing is excellent!!

Rick, what is your favorite strainer? Do you like the iNDE strainer?

I would also like to know as well how you feel about the INDe strainer. How do you feel about the newer Ludwig strainer.
@rickdior11 күн бұрын
Yes that's a good strainer. The new ludwig strainer on their orchestra snares is my current favorite.

Pearl just reintroduced/introduced a snare identical to the signature Steve Ferrone snare but without it being a signature model since Steve is now a Gretsch artist. That Dunnett is a gorgeous drum.

Rick, have you tried the Bibin snare wires?? any comment? I got one and honestly, BIG but BIG (and great) difference from a Puresound... That Steel Dunnet sounds awesome...

i think of brass as wetter, the wettest or ringiest. i like thin brass or steel.

I just prefer the sound of a 10 lug.
