Fantastic O scale video. The video covers one of my most favorite rail routes that Amtrak’s Coast Starlight runs on. Two of my most favorite steam locomotives ran on the Southern Pacific which are the GS4 4-8-4 Lima built Daylight number 4449 which I have in N scale as my excursion locomotive & the AC12 Baldwin built 4-8-8-2 cab forward number 4294 which is on display at the California state railroad museum which is the nations best in Sacramento.

@OScaler1 My favorite scene is where you are looking over the foot bridge and down toward the station. That's really a great shot.

Thank you, thank you. I did not build the station. A gentleman named Frank Bowder did and I am very grateful to have it! But, I did do the Best Water on Earth sign. It took quite a bit of research to figure out the cement base. And no, don't have any smoke. Sound yes, smoke no. Too hard it install smoke units in 2-rail O scale locos. And yep, I agreee, 3-rail sound and smoke is pretty cool. OScaler1

I'm from there and that IS the station and roundhouse. It looks real. The Best Water On Earth sign is a priceless touch. Do you have any smokers? I have a 1953 AF 4-8-4 #336. Smokes like a chain smoker blowing smoke rings. Plus a piston for the chug. Nothing like the authentic sound you have in your layout. Nice Job.

Thanks for the compliment. And yes you can use the Tsunami decoder in O scale, but just the sound section, not the motor control section. I use a seperate Zimo 5A decoder for the motor and they work great together. BUT, I spent hours researching and reprogramming the Tsunami decoder to get it to sound like a big SP cab forward. Users manual is 77 pages with 250'ish programmable parameters including a mixer and an equalizer !!! Oscaler1

Well thank you for the comment. The video was shot with my old miniDV camcorder. I now have a new HD camcorder and may try and shhot a little more video of the layout. Bill .....

@janisjade1 - Well thank you. It was a deliberate attempt to replicate what it was like to lookj down at the tracks from the foot bridge. Not that I ever did mind you - I was a bit young for that back in 1950! OScaler1

Well thank you for the nice comment. Nah, nuthin on the web. If you send me an email I'll send you the track plan. Room is 24x36ft. Track plan is an inverted figure eight - my design.
