This is why comparing stats between Messi and Ronaldo isn’t comparable, Messi played his whole career for one team in one league in the same positions, Ronaldo had to adapt not only to play in different positions, but more importantly had to adapt to playing in 3 different leagues, all of which are the best in the world. He's such an amazing player, at 39 he, obviously, is not very agile anymore, but can still do things that good players can't, yesterday he was going to score a bicycle kick, but the defender did a handball preventing that goal. I hate to see how people are constantly saying that he is finishing his career very bad because he is in Al Nassr but, Messi is a worse team, also most footballers that finished their careers in big clubs, like Figo, they got benched most of the games. In my opinion, he's having a good end of a career!

I agree but it's not just Ronaldo. Portugal has had golden generations since the 90s. Figo, Rui Costa, João Pinto, Paulo Sousa, all were World Champions on the under 20 class. It was just the full teams weren't there when they reached senior years. When Portugal was european champion and later nations cup champions, you couldn't name a player in the starting team who wasn't a world class player. With probably the exception of Eder who actually scored the final goal for the euro champ, everyone else was the type of player that could make it in any team. Ronaldo's winning mentality sure helped but the fact that there was an actual team behind him, was key. Portugal has been creating top talent for a long time and only getting better over time, forming not just the skilked player up front but also playmakers, defenders, forwards, sidebacks, even goalkeepers (although this is not where it excels at they just need to get a couple of good ones). Nowadays Robaldo has lost influence in the national team. You have players like Bruno Fernandes, Bernardo Silva, Rafael Leão, Gonçalo Ramos, Cancelo, Rúben Dias, António Silva, Vitinha, Diogo Costa, Félix, Gonçalo Inácio and so so many more who aren't even called for the main squad but are on the youth squad (João Neves is the next big thing). It's crazy the ammount of talent such a tiny country has.

Yes they had great players here and there but nvr consistently and more importantly, never all in one generation at every positions. The first “Golden generation” is actually now. That’s mad. What the video didn't mention was that Ronaldo began struggling psychologically outside the pitch as a result of him & Georgina, his girlfriend, losing their newborn son nearing the end of the 21/22 season, and right before the 22/23 season, his daughter fell ill which is why he missed out on 90% of United's pre-season. Instead of the club and Ten Hag, the coach, understanding his situation, it's almost like they didn't believe he was straying from pre-season because of his daughter's illness, which he mentioned in the Piers Morgan interview(y'all should react to that, or watch it on y'alls own perhaps).

Believe me or not when i was going into elementary school (in Slovakia) i had a classmate i was playing with also in football club, and he was so good you can't even imagine that, for me it's really hard to remember how it's even possible to do things the way he did that was like impossible to take a ball from him no matter how hard someone was trying, he was reeeealy unbelievable i never ever saw something like that before and once i told him he is better than Ronaldo and he was also looking similair to him, the skin, the height, his style, but he was humble so he told me back,nah it's not true, don't say that.that guy was doing bycicle kick goals whenever he decided to and nobody can stop him and his accuracy was out of this world,he was playing with others like with little kids, he was so good that if all players in team he played with were Bad at football he alone was winning matches for the whole team! I will never ever forget that guy, i don't know what is with him now, but i know he got some job, one child and living normal life, and also he did some matches in amateur leagues few years ago, im telling you he had so great potential to become Megastar like Cristiano Ronaldo, for real, but probably he wasn't motivated enough to go that way.

He had to work his ass off for all this literally, no free passes whatsoever. He did the same in all the clubs in term of goals, all top clubs/legues. He could have easily got alot more goals and made life more easy if he stayed in one team all the time like Real Madrid or United like some players do lol, but he challenged himself and overcame everything everywhere he went even if all were and still is against him, thats why he is the GOAT forever!

Even though Messi is my GOAT I do believe that CR7 is arguably the most influential player of all time. Growing up we admired Messi but we all wanted to be Ronaldo. From his free kick stance, his celebrations, his boots with the white ankle tape, his step overs, etc. He was honestly a MEGA STAR and he had the arrogance that you loved to have in your team but hated to to go against, kinda like Kobe.
