When growing age was fast catching upon famous Pakistani film actors and couples of Sabiha- Santosh , Musarrat Nazir-Sudhir , Nayyar - Darpan , and the male actors in particular were afflicted by bulging paunches and elderly looks, there appeared on the scene , like a flash of lightning , the saviourvof Pak film industry in the shape of a smart, stylish, charismatic, chic, dapper, suave , elegant , vivacious , murcurial and classy young boy who was an alumnus of the elite Lawrence College Ghora Galli Muree and the equally esteemed Marie Collaco School Karachi , by the name of Waheed Murad ! Waheed hailed from an affluent, educated and respected family of Sialkot who were the descedants of the Bahamini rulers of South India . From Sialkot they shifted to Karachi and settled at the posh Tariq Road Karachi when Waheed was still a student at Karachi varsity . Waheed just got into producing films as a pastime , when he had a chance rendezvous with the gorgeous Zeba. Both struck an instant and tenderest chord and Zeba motivated Waheed to join the film industry as a hero, as she rightly thought he was better educated , much smarter, more stylish, charismatic and classy - looking than the other contemporary actors . Waheed agreed and the couple became famous within no time, bringing about a revolution in Pak film industry with regard to quality films through their superb acting prowess , incomparable song pictuization skills and persistent stellar performances, producing a string of blockbusters hits and well-loved movies like Heera aur Pathar, Kaneez , Arman , Dever Bhabi, Dil Mera Dharkan Teri , Ehsaan, Jaag Utha Insaan, Rishta Hay Piyar Ka, Insaniyat , Maa Baap , Josh, Jb Jb Phool Khilay, Shama, Phool Mere Gulsha Ka , Mohabbat Zindagi Hay and many others. MY HONEST OPINION ABOUT SUPREME MEGA STAR KING WAHEED MURAD AS I KNEW HIM ! Telling from my interaction with Supreme Mega Star Waheed Murad and following him as a a diehard fan since I was a class 5th student , I have to say in all honesty and sincerity that Waheed was the most handsome , smart, stylish, energetic, mercurial , charismatic , chic, suave , dapper , trend- setting and classy personage and an artist beyond comparison . Waheed was a highly God - gifted , pristinely original , most versatile, hugely accomplished and incomparably celebrated mega star beyond comparison , who had his own distinct and distinguished and signature Waheed Murad Style of acting and song picturization. A more versatile actor like him neither came before him , nor in his lifetime nor will one come to emulate him in the years ahead ! According to four top film directors such as Hassan Tariq, Iqbal Yousaf , Iqbal Akhtar and Fareed Ahmad , " SUPER STAR WAHEED MURAD WAS ONE ACTOR IN THE ENTIRE INDO PAK WHO DIDN'T NEED ANY DIRECTOR TO GUIDE HIM IN ACTING OR SONG PICTURIZATION , NOR DOES HE NEED ANY REHEARSAL FOR PERFORMING ANY ROLE ! ACTING COMES TO HIM AS LEAVES TO A TREE ! " Waheed was also endowed with the most sterling qualities of head and heart . He had a highly positive attitude towards others and had a heart of gold ! In fact , Waheed had inherited his heart of gold and enviable gentlemanly traits from his great parents , that included an admirably cool and cheerful countenance , a friendly , respectful and welcoming demeanour , topped like an icing on the cake by his saintly patience and tolerance . All these qualities of Waheed had a wonderful calming effect on everyone who met him even once . My real uncle was there when the four top directors talked about Waheed's incomparable class , calibre and standing as the greatest mega star and kindest man of all time . That was the reason Waheed Murad had an infectiously magnetic way with the people and his fans . Those who met him even once would gravitate towards him like butterflies and honey bees rushing towards a beautiful scented rose. Similarly , people would run to him hysterically , with tears and sobs and express their intense affection for him . I personally saw this at Murree. People's love for Waheed would at times reach the highest crescendoes and touch the sky the way the fans of Elvis Presley , Michael Jackson , Ronaldo , Dilip Kumar or Shah Rukh Khan did. In one instance , his sports car was bled red with kisses by throngs of adoring damsels and young college and school girls at Karachi. In another incident , a Pukhtoon lady from a highly wealthy family in KPK , who was a diehard fan of Waheed , consumed poison after hearing the sad and shocking news of Waheed's tragic ,untimely death. Though she was saved with great difficulty , yet the matter was kept secret as per Pushtoon traditions. Similarly ladies of some Nawabs' and Landlors' families in KPK and Sindh are still intensely enamoured of Waheed Murad. Despite being a most adored top notch mega star from an extremely wealthy , influential and respected family , with a whole slew of servants, drivers , watchmen and gardners working at his bungalows at Karachi and Lahore , Waheed never took his palacial bungalows or huge wealth to his head like other vain and shallow people nor did he brag about his wealth or family background . The affluence of Waheed could be easily gauged from the fact that he had inherited from his very rich parents property worth billions of rupees , including a big Bugalow at the most expensive and posh DHA-1 Karachi , another similarly huge bungalow at the heart of the posh , costly and famous mainTariq Road , two flats again at the highly expensive and modern area of Sidco Centre Sadar Karachi , an eught canal most expensive bungalow at the highly pricy Guberg- 3 Lahore , besides an expensive flat at Kanal Road Lahore. He owned Elite Cinema Hyderabad and had half share in Naz Cinema MA Jinnah Road ( Bandar Road) Karachi . All these huge properties worth billions of dollars were owned by his father, who was a most prominent and wealthy film distributor of Indo Pak, who hailed from a highly respected and affluent family of Sialkot ! Unlike many of his co actors , Waheed never had a craving to accumulate wealth. His only passion was acting and producing films to please his fans and satisfy his urge . Being a role model and an epitome of positivity and love , Waheed never felt jealous of others' wealth or fame nor did he brook any malice even against his worst and meanest haters and enemies. Being a highly intelligent , sensitive and perceptive man , Waheed did know all the hypocrits of the film industry inside out , INCLUDING HIS CO- ACTORS, ACTRESSES , DIRECTORS AND STORY WRITERS , and in particular those who posed to be his best friends and flatteringly learnt and copied the nuances of acting and song picturization from Waheed , yet devilishly and disgracefully conspired against him and did his character assassination most shamelessly towards toppling him from the number one position and getting the films that were being offered to him so abundantly. Yet the magnificent Waheed maintained his glacial cool and graceful poise all the while , not losing his temper even at the nonstop treachery of his sworn enemies. However, he was hurt to the core by his brutal character assassination by those who posed to be his closest friends and acquaintances ! Consequently , Waheed fell a prey to severe depression and related ailments such as stomach ulcer and cyst that proved too fatal for him , ultimately passing away to his heavenly abode with a cardiac arrest at the age of 45 like Elvis Presley. May Allah Almighty shower His choicest blessings upon Super Star Waheed Murad in heaven. May Allah Almighty 's wrath befall all those who were involved in conspiracies against Waheed hurting him to the core and hastening his untimely death ! Aameen.
