I just got my new duo, I like it, robust and easy to use. - Just one question. When not in use, should the bottle holder be in the extended position or closed? Is it tight in both positions, or is there a risk of leakage, what is best?

Hi @JOBT0, welcome to the bubble club! We are so happy to hear that you are liking your new SodaStream DUO. Good question! Our Sparkling Water Makers are designed to only release CO2 when you press down on the button or lever, so your DUO shouldn't leak at all regardless of if the flask is open or closed. That said, if you are ever concerned that you are going through your CO2 faster than you should and that your SodaStream is leaking CO2, our Sparkling Support Team would be more than happy to troubleshoot with you to make sure everything is a-ok! If you ever need to get in touch with us, just reach out via your preferred method listed on our website here: support-au.sodastream.com/hc/en-au We hope this helps!

Wait , what is the purpose of it being plugged in if it still requires All that manual pressing and such ??
@SodaStreamOz23 күн бұрын
HI @BrandonMitchell84, You ask a good question. The only machine that requires power is the E-Terra Machine which has automated touch buttons so you don't require any manual pressing. All others in our range require the manual button press.

Let’s just say you use a x2 fizz button push on each bottle, how many bottles would you get out of a canister?
@SodaStreamOz8 ай бұрын
Hi @adelebayly9701, thank you for your question! It's very difficult to give an exact number of bottles as each customer carbonates their drinks differently. Each 60L Gas Cylinder can make up to 60 litres of sparkling water, depending on the machine you have and your preferred level of carbonation. Those who lightly carbonate may get closer to the 60 litre mark while those who like their drinks fizzy will get a lot less from their cylinder. If you press the button 1-2 times as you have asked, you will get a light fizz, which will get you closer to the 60L mark, depending how long you are holding the button for and which model you have. For your refrence, a medium level of fizz is 3-4 presses and a high level of fizz is 5-6. As you are carbonating your water to a high level of fizz (5 times), you won't get as many as 60L of sparkling water out of each CO2 cylinder. If you find yourself replacing CO2 more than you'd like to, try reducing the number of times you push the carbonating button per use, and use firm 1-2 second pushes each time. Please also see below for some more tips on how to get the most bang for your bubbles when it comes to your CO2 cylinder: - Carbonate fresh cold water only! A temperature of 4-7°C is best, so try using chilled water straight from the fridge. - Keep your bottles away from excessive heat and direct sunlight. - Wash plastic bottles using lukewarm water (Never place your bottles in the dishwasher unless you are using our dishwasher-safe plastic bottles or our glass carafes and never wash these above 70°C). - Check the expiration date of the bottles and make sure to replace them after they've outlived their bubbly life. - Swap out your lids for new ones (available to purchase on our website) if you feel like your bottles are no longer holding their fizz. - The puffing noises made by the machine aren't an indication of the carbonation level, only the amount of presses that you use. So feel free to bubble as you like :) Short & firm carbonation pushes (approx. 1-2 sec) work best. - We recommend purchasing a spare cylinder to have on hand so you never find yourself without CO2! - Prefer flavors? AFTER carbonating, add fresh fruit or one of our SodaStream flavors to enjoy Sparkling Water with a yummy kick! If you have any concerns with your Sparkling Water Maker and how efficiently it is carbonating your water, please don't hesitate to reach out to our Sparkling Support Team so that we can troubleshoot this with you. Hi @La4edimension, Sorry to hear you don't have any bubbles. Lets see what we can do to fix that. Are you able to start off by telling us what type of Machine you have and if you have recently swapped in a new cylinder?
