Great sound, my congratulations for the demonstration of a great video. I also love Nirvana. I've been following your videos and we're always learning. I am undecided between these two guitars: Fender Player Series Jaguar PF 3TS and Fender Duo-Sonic HS PF DB. I have some doubts about pickups. Would the DiMarzio dp100 look better on the duo-sonic or the JAG Player? The combination sh4 jb + antiquity II Mustang looks good on Duo-Sonic. My question, to get a kurt cobain sound and at the same time some versatility, what would be the best single coil neck pickup to join the dimarzio humburker Dist? To tell you the truth, I've almost been losing my mind and buying the JAG KB, but calm down ... and take a deep breath. Thanks

Hi my friend, thank you very much for this comment that motivates to continue making videos! I just watched some videos on the Fender player series Jaguar, it looks great after I think it does not get close enough to cobain sound. I have Cobain's jaguar and she's very different from a classic jaguar, and he'd already bought it that way. The Fender player series Jaguar is a little more expensive than the duosonic, it is not negligible in your choice. Yet I would say that the duosonic even without being modified is really close to what kurt cobain liked, this sound that may seem cheap for some but is the essence of its punk rock. I am very happy with the combination of my two guitar pickups (sh4 + antiquity mustang ii). The cobain jaguar is closer to the sound of nevermind and the 1992 live tour at Reading Festival while my duosonic looks more like the sound of the in utero live tour during which he used his modified mustang. For the neck pickup according to me you would need a kind of mustang neck pickup. I dont know if dimarzio dp 100 is better on jag or duo but it would be nice too i think. Hope it helps you :)

Hey, great video man, I have a question though, when your playing come as you are, the prechorus the part where he sings "memoria" your going from an F to an A but your doing something halfway inbetween the A, looks like your letting go of a string, I just would like to know so i can play it correctly, thanks man

Hey pas mal la disto amigo ! Question, j'ai une Squier mustang modified et je compte y poser un Sh4 ou sh5 aux aiguës car le simple d'origine manque de patate. Le tiens tu la monté toi même ? J'suis enmerde avec le pickguard car j'en trouve pas à l'identique pour un micro double chevalet... Le tient tu l'a retaillé ? C'est chaud à poser un micro, j'entends par la sur un double ya des fils en plus ou j'ai juste a dessouder l'ancien et remettre les fils du nouveau ? Bref, j'ai une ds2 aussi, un boss noise suppressor et un mini rectifier mesa boogie. Merci pour le vidéo c'est cool.

salut l'ami!! alors non je ne l'ai pas posé moi même car c'était la première fois que j avais pour projet de modifier une guitare, j'ai eu les idées mais pas les mains pour le faire, j'ai pas encore assez de pratique à ce niveau là même si j'aimerais bien acquérir des connaissances en la matière, j'ai donc embauché mon luthier préféré :p . Le mini rectifier, excellent il me faisait de l'oeil celui la, tu t'éclates avec ?? Sinon as tu regarder sur le net pour les pickguard y a plein de magasins que tu pourrais contacter qui les taillent sur mesure. Je vais voir pour te donner quelques liens. Moi je l'ai commandé avec wdmusic.com aux usa sur mesure, j'ai vidéo qui explique où j'ai commandé les différentes pièces de ma guitare.

C'est vrai que je suis très content du résultat et je ne le regrette pas, surtout que ma guitare de par sa personnalisation en devient originale et a plus d'intéret qu'une mustang cobain que tout le monde pourrait avoir, pour un son très similaire il me semble! ton kit mustang a l air bien cool aussi et j'ai entendu beaucoup de bien du texas special en neck, cobain en avait pas un d'ailleurs ?? @@DaveWire Entièrement d'accord. C'est quand même plus fun d'avoir une guitare personnalisée. Sur la Jagstang oui kurt avait un texas spécial position neck. Quand à mon acquisition récente de la jagstang, son histoire est intéressante. Je l'ai obtenu via un gars ami avec the Thugs (groupe Angevin qui ont fait la fameuse tournée reading avec Nirvana et plusieurs première partie) Il avait des anecdotes sur kurt Cobain et Krist Novoselic et c'était top ;) .

Pour les thugs il avait enregistré avec steve albini (in utero)aussi je crois leur album strike

here I am :) voici les réglages de ma DS2 lors de cette session (je te les donne sous forme d'une horloge) : LEVEL 13h , je sais que cobain mettait le level au max ou pas loin mais chez moi ça bourre trop en appart :p, TONE à 14h30, DISTO 13h (cobain souvent la mettait presque a fond plus ou moins en fonction des morceaux) et j'ai mis le turbo II (cobain utilise le I) je la trouvais moins métallique , je vais te donner un site qui donne plein d'infos sur les réglages de cobain . Ah j'oubliais la SMALL CLONE presque 15h et DEPTH vers le bas. le site c'est ça kurtsequipment.com/ et tu vas sur effect , enjoy :)
