Anytime I think about dipping a toe into PvP. I just watch a couple of his videos and I'm just like no. I'm good with PVE. I just want to play the storyline and read some dinos. It's funny seeing the differences between games like ark and rust. Most players agree that pvp servers are the correct way to play rust, while most ark players are pve only. If only they actually took the time to properly balance the game so that pvp was actually fun and less grindy. They need to remove character levelling the most, as this causes a huge disparity between players, then they need to make it so that taming does not take hours on officials, but is still difficult and rewarding. The core gameplay loop should not be grinding and waiting, just for your base to be offlined anyway. If they actually listened to the average player, maybe pvp servers wouldn't be dead. Improved ai and the ability to give your dinos set things to do on their own would also be nice. For a dinosaur game, they truly don't give the dinosaurs enough thought, as when you tame them, they suddenly become mindless robots with very little helpful or unique commands. It doesn't have to be realistic, the game clearly isn't going for realism, so let me actually give my dinos specific triggers that cause it to perform actions when triggered, this is just basic coding. Example, "when dinosaur is under 25% health, run to marked location" and "when dinosaur is above 50% health, attack players within a 50m radius". All it takes is implementing a new menu with specific triggers and commands you can link together. I've played a few other games with this system and it really brings a sense of life and purpose to the mindless ai, as it's up to the players to program them for their own playstyle. #wildcardpleasehiremeI'vegotplentyofideas

150’s = avg stats across the board 99% of the time. 130-135’s seem to have lobsided stats a lot of the time I found so I would target them more than 150’s. Matter of fact we tamed a lvl 90 giga once that had 190 melee after taming.

I did this with my brother, but we got two quetzals and tranq bullets (shock rounds werent a thing yet nor tranq harpoons) it took us about 2,000 tranq bullets and gods know how many narcotics, we had to take turns to return to our base and make more and farm more berries and luckily we had a load of carnivores with a lot of spoiled meat on them and in the feeders, took us around 3 and half hours to tame one giga, man, it was really stressing, the torpor dropped like crazy

I remember my first giga, I made him hang on a rock, then I started shooting tranquilizer arrows with my crossbow, but I ran out of arrows and he didn't faint, he was almost dying and couldn't handle another arrow, we had Punching him to increase the chance of him passing out without having to make more arrows, but he didn't faint, we went to collect material to make more arrows and when we came back he was passed out, We managed to tame him after 6 hours searching for a giga across the entire map.

That won't happen. It's not just ARK, the same shit in Rust as well, you sometimes have to be able to reduce settings, and PVP addicts will always turn the settings as low as possible for any advantage they can get. In ASA especially, having the ability to disable grass is a necessity half the time because the foliage is so dense you'd never find your body (and I say that because ASA doesn't give you a marker half the time)
