Hello everyone, I hope you are all well. Today I received my DET score (125) and got what I need to apply. Basically, I studied intensely for 2 weeks, using all the tools that Professor Luke shared with us. In my mock tests, most of my scores were 115 - 125, and some 120 - 130. I took the mock test about 11 times to get a good understanding of the questions and the order in which they came. This helped me a lot, especially in that session where "speak aloud", "listen then type" and "fill the blanks" appear together in sequences. As for the test, I found it easier than the mock tests, but naturally I was nervous and ended up making silly mistakes. In any case, I wanted to thank teacher Luke for the videos, as they were of great help, and also say that everything will be fine with your test.

Before everything I wrote below, I watched all videos of teacher Luke related with DET to understand the strategies to improve my score. Now, here is my tips: The tool I used for "Write about the topic" and "follow up questions" was the ChatGPT, because it could create questions and also evaluate my answers. To the "write/speak about the photo" I used a website called random picture generator, and it was awesome to improve my vocabulary. To know new words quickly, I read a lot of news (L3) on the website "News in Levels" and memorized every word I didn't know. I also created an excel with the word, meaning, context and a phrase containing the word. For the "listen then type", I studied just using the videos of teac. Luke. Now, for "interactive reading" and "interactive listening" I recommend you to use an free website called Arno for Duolingo. On this website, you can practice every part of the test for free and it really helps when you don't have an specific material. @TeacherLuke-DET I want to thank you for helping me to get ready to DET in one week. I took the test on 25.05 and today my results came as 135 overall (140-literacy, 150-comprehension, 125-conversation, 110-production). I took three practice tests which were all in the range of 125-135. For those who is afraid of taking the test because of the invalidation problems, I suggest that: 1- Open a new user account in operation system just for the test. 2- I preferred to sit in front of a mirror, so camera was able to see whole room (proof that I was alone and nothing was on the table.) 3- During the exam, I focused to speak to the screen. 4- I watched and acted like I was at the exam, when I was watching Duolingo English Test 2024: Full Test & Answers No.1-2 and 3. As a note: I wrote all the answers simultaneously by speaking and thinking at the same time. Besides, English is not my native language, I looked at the keyboard a lot. Good luck ☺
