Great review! What is your weight if you don’t mind me asking. I am 93kg intermediate and considering this board at the same size you tested.

Hi Brook, thank you! I'm somewhere between 65 -70kg (depending on the season). The 100L SKYBRID was such a nice board for me even though it was actually a bit on the big side for my weight. I think almost everyone will love the ease at which this board gets you up and flying while still feeling playful once up on the foil. Maybe they even let you try it before you buy it at your local store. Have fun and.. See you on the water!

Perhaps a word on your weight and the size of the tested board ?

No problem! The SKYBRID I tested was the 5'10 (177cm), 100L, 6,89kg. Have fun and ... See you on the water!

Did you feel the extra weight of this board compared to orher brands a concern ?
@Windsurfcoach2 ай бұрын
@@lewiss66 I did 1 session on the Skybrid and it felt like a short board. Just keep in mind that it’s just slightly longer and part of that length is behind you and the other part in front of you so the arm isn’t that long. Besides that the Skybrid is a SLS which means it’s very light so I didn’t feel any extra swing weight compared to my Fanatic Sky Wing 5’0 75L . See you on the water!

Hi, What do you think about your F4 foil setup? I'm considering buying it! Greetings
@Windsurfcoach4 ай бұрын
Hi Maks, right now I'm using the CA series with a carbon 90cm HM mast and normally my F800 (freeride WINDfoil frontwing) icw 190cm2 back wing and 78cm fuselage. This combination is playful, has a low stall speed and is pretty fast so it's my "go to" setup. If I want to go fast I'll change to the 620cm2 or even the 560 cm frontwing, but I prefer the setup with the F800. The reason I use this CA series is that I started out a few years ago with my winDfoil F4foils slalom foil and could use the front and back wings for winGfoiling as well. If you are a dedicated winGfoiler you might be better off with the GP series as there has been quite some development in the foils in the last few years. If I look at my new F800 front wing it is so much easier compared to the older 850 cm2 freerace (winDfoil). All the things I'm telling you here are based on my personal preference, homespot, weight. The best advice I can give you is find a store nearby which will allow you to test the equipment before you buy it. Have fun and ... See you on the water!

Great video. Would you pick a 5'8 if 70kg? Thanks
@Windsurfcoach4 ай бұрын
@@lewiss66 thank you 🙏🏻. What size you need depends on your level, in what kind of conditions you will be using it and what you want to do. Duotone recommends the 5’6 for your weight. Personally I would want a board like that as an extra board for patchy or offshore wind conditions at my homespot which means I would probably go for 1 size bigger than recommended by Duotone so that would be the 5’8 in your case. If you are blessed with relative constant wind conditions, can jibe consistently or are even better and it will be your board for most conditions I would go for the recommended size so the 5’6 Have fun and . See you on the water

That sure does not like like #Ultra" Light wind. Must be at lest 7-8 knots...

Hi Janne, There was just a little wind and as you could see there was no body on the water on a normally pretty crowded beach. Just check out the OZONE FUSION review and see for yourself what the place normally looks like with a little breeze. In the end the wind did pick up a little which made it easier but it was absolutely one of those day on which you won't see any wingfoilers on the water and with the SKYBRID it was pretty easy to get going. I know that it's possible to have fun in even lighter winds with special downwind boards and larger high aspect foils and that is quite amazing. The fun part of this board for me was that it feels like a normal small board and at the same time allows you to take about 3 kts off of the minimum wind you would normally consider as the absolute minimum. Have fun and .... See you on the water!

Is there any current in the water? It looks like a lake, therefore no tide hitting the foil and killing your speed in one direction.
