Don't be silly. Of course it's her voice. The reason this version sounds different is because all other versions of her songs you've heard are from PAL 25fps sources and they are speeded up and a semitone too high. That's why you think the 'real' Noor Jehan's voice sounds more like a child's voice. This version is deeper and richer sounding because it's at film speed, slowed a bit and lower pitched (and in tune as a result). Play this and then right-click the screen and hit 'Stats for nerds'. It'll say '640x480@24' meaning 24 frames per second, or film speed. Anyone else's will be either 25fps (PAL speed) or maybe 30fps (NTSC source from what was originally a PAL source and still having the PAL speed). If you don't understand or believe what I say, maybe you know a musician or someone with perfect pitch that can confirm what I say. This version is Noor Jehan and in tune; all others are Noor Jehan and out of tune (speeded up and too high pitched).

+Tommydan333 well if that's the case then does that mean all or atleast most of the songs by Noor jehan uploaded on KZbin, do not infact sound like Noor jehan, as there's a huge difference between this version and the other version I referred to earlier of the same song.

Perhaps point me to the version you heard. But, yes, if the sources are films, then all versions of her songs here on KZbin are in the wrong pitch and her voice is too high and the songs are being sung too fast. The live versions, like from PTV or BBC broadcasts or stage shows would be correct. For example, I provided this to a friend of mine, taped from a BBC broadcast. Hear her voice as it was in 1976 in all its magnificent glory: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qqKVfJJ_mZaKodE It's 25fps but, unlike the speeded up versions from movies originally 24fps, this was taped at 25fps and the pitch is correct. See, this is important. People from India and Pakistan, where songs are such an important part of the films, if all they've seen is televised versions of the films or the films on DVD, never get to hear the songs as they would have been heard in a movie theater. The audio in these DVDs or television broadcasts isn't pitch-corrected after being speeded up to the 25fps required for PAL television broadcast, and for PAL DVD. Of course, there could be other additional reasons for the discrepancies as well. This was recorded on VHS tape originally and digitized by me and worked on extensively before uploading it to KZbin. The other versions of the song here on KZbin might have come from different sources and the audio might sound different, even if not taking into account the speed differences.
