DupliColor Fabric Spray Review

I've seen people using this DupliColor fabric/vinyl spray and wanted to give it a try since i have a headliner I wanted to make black. So decided to make a review and show the process I used to do so! Hope this is helpful and gives some insight.

I've recently been giving my car's interior a face lift, blacking it all out. DupliColor has been multipurpose for me. For the fabric and vinyl it sticks amazingly, no dramas. No primer (like it states). But as for plastics, it's much less durable. It's rather easy to scratch off on the plastic inside panels, however to combat this you just need to use a primer (cheaper than the paint). That's held up my door panel trims quite well.

Hey man, i was looking for a review for the DupliColor fabric/vinyl spray, I have some tips: 1.-@3:40 it´s the correct way to paint with a spray can, when you first started you left some darker spots, you have to paint as if you were using a spray gun (from right to left non stop until the paint is out of the headliner), this is easier if you get a Snap and Spray can handle. 2.- put the headliner against a wall, so when you paint your can will be vertical, if you let it sit on the flor the can is horizontal, making the paint go to the top instead of staying on the bottom. 3.- in order to get a better paint flow you can rise the pressure of the can by letting it sit in the sun for some time, rising the temperature will rise the pressure inside the can and the paint will come out with more power and in a more even finish. 4.- the longer you let it sit, the better the paint will dry, that´s why it looks darker at the end, almost like magic lol anyway, thank you for the review and showing the process, it was really helpful for my own project, thank you and keep making great videos!

Thank you for not making us listen to rap music through out the video. I like rap music but not from today, I'm from the old school. 80s rap is where it's at. Anyway thank you for the video it was really well done and VERY INFORMATIVE. After watching your video I will paint my head liner black instead of trying to clean it. Why special duplicolor. Use rustoleum or any brand. Don't apply too much so you will not even have to use flat paint. Gloss will work just as well. I used a gray primer on my neighbor's destroyed floor mats. She was shocked. They looked brand new. :)

Looks nice. Im doing my civic 2010 coupe. Its light grey/white from the top and I only did a corner. The texture kept rough but im thinking i can treat the fabric and itll keep black black. I love it. I wish i had a garage or a parking spot. Im just doing this on the street and idk i feel like everyonr watches me. I got nowhere to deassemble my car so imma just cover with a lot of plastic and wait outside a couple hours with the windows down. Im gonna need a gas mask for a few weeks too hahahaaha

Wow! It did get blacker as it was sitting. Looks great! How did it hold up after. Did the fabric still feel like fabric after?

Judy Jack-Burton it felt just a little different. A friend and I tried getting it wet and then running on it and it holds up well👍

Trying to look for a vid answering this. I tried it on a corner of the fabric in my car and it frels rough. In one vid someone commented that if you want to keep the softness you have to mix a chemical 50/50 with liquid matte black paint. I wonder if there is a sort of primer or conditioner for spray paint.

need bout 10 coats! not cost efficient use createx airbrush paint in a pump up sprayer or airbrush if you have a compressor and the looks of your shop you do!

It's not your brain accepting it... it's the paint spreading and getting evenly absorbed into the fabric as time goes on
