Look at the media pundits always trying to glom on to Manchester United in a video that is supposed to be about the Champions League, a competition United are not even in. As for Unai Emery, he ain't going to that finished club. The set up he currently has at Villa is much more his style. He has complete control over footballing matters at Villa. The type of control, he would never be given at a club like Man United.

That's a very shortsighted view on a finished club. The club that relegated Villa in 2016. Villa were 13th in their first season in the Championship, while the finished club won the Europa and league cup. It took Villa 3 seasons to get promoted, eventually via the play offs and since then the finished club has won two more trophies. Congrats on playing well and getting in the CL but don't get ahead of yourself.

​@@ScottBlackman-s4iFinished may be an exaggeration, but either way, since Fergie left Man U they obviously have been playing and achieving at a lower level, generally have been pretty static, in that time Villa flirted with relegation, got relegated, struggled to get back up, eventually did as you said, struggled for a season and a bit, Emery comes in and we go from strength to strength in 2 years, and are comfortable a better side than Utd at this moment. So, Man U aren't 'finished', but there's no good reason for a manager like Emery to leave a club going from strength to strength, to a club like Man Utd that are... Inconsistent (with moments of individual brilliance) at best, and shambolic at worst
