If you listen carefully, in both places where Simon begins "We'll try to stay blind..." until the end of the two choruses, the entire crowd at MSG is singing along with him. Notice when the girl sings along certain words, you hear it, but when she puts the mike down and Simon sings by himself, you can still hear the entire crowd singing along. This band is amazing here in their mid 50s.

Serious question: How many artists and bands that haven't had a hit song in 20 years but are still playing still today regularly sell out 25,000-30,000 sear arenas like Madison Square Garden? Not Elton John, Not Eric Clapton, Not The Who, Not Billy Joel. Only the Rolling Stones and Duran Duran

You are comparing apples to oranges. Depeche Mode is much darker than Duran. Depeche started like a pop band but wound up doing grunge and industrial-type stuff. I find more people especially women prefer pop, I hate the crap kids are listening to these days.
