The survival of this band for forty years is a testament to Nick. He is a founding member (with John Taylor), has always been the driving force and ultimately, I think, why the various Taylors have felt okay leaving and coming back.

AGREED 100% Nick Truly Loves the Duran Duran Creation! I mean he and John were doing Fantasy Tour Planning when they we're 11 & 12 yrs Old! No. The band was started by John not Nick. Nick came into the band a year after John started it with other members. John is instrumental in the band succeeding. Yes he left for his substance abuse problems for a few years he's been there a long time. That being said, everyone in this band now has made it successful!

John along with Nick started the band. John coined the name of he band. He was 18, Nick two years younger. They met in school. They were in it together the whole time, two young men with a dream. They talk about being so into music, working for one free record at a time at the record store in Birmingham, and sharing their vision....
