Totally! I’ve long been frustrated by this false portrayal of them as throw away bubble gum pop suited only for screaming 12 year old girls, not proper musicians, etc.by the music press for years!! Its taken a long long time for music writing influencers (in general) to start to come around having been proven wrong. Their longevity speaks for itself. I just regret that some people don’t ever get to experience the breadth, depth, strength, and ultimately joy of their full catalog. So many amazing impossibly great songs with all kinds of emotional tone that hit you hard if given the chance.

@@nocturnalmix I also think the younger journalists don't have the 'cultural baggage' of the ones who were Duran's original contemporaries, and they're more able to hear the music for what it is. I've always thought that if Duran had been less overt about wanted to be BIG the music press would have treated them very differently. And of course, if they'd been less good-looking and overtly happy

I watched those too during lockdown and he had just gotten over Covid. I was so happy he recovered and was doing some music. I love how relatable these guys are. I just saw them in concert last week. They were AMAZING.

Just saw Duran Duran 2 nights ago & it was INCREDIBLE! Their voices are still amazing after all these years & Simon nailed everything. I first found then at 13 & I'm 53 now. At this last concert I danced my ass off & was 13 again all night. Best night ever💖

I love these guys...since the 80s. First saw them in 89 at 15yrs. I kind of fell out of touch over the years, but was always a big fan. Just went to their Future Past tour in Dallas TX USA and it totally reenergized my love for them! They are such sweet guys and great performers and artists. ❤️ Really excited about this "Halloween themed"project!! 🤯

I was 8 months pregnant with twins when I attended DD concert in NYC 2007 at the Hammerstein Ballroom. After waiting for years to attend a concert since I was a teen in the 1980s. I was so happy, I felt like I was a teenager and nothing mattered but Duran Duran at that moment. I♥U Guys!! Thank You!

I just saw Duran Duran Live on 6/4/23. It was the most incredible concert I’ve been to! They are just a genuinely talented band with amazing stage presence. I’ve listen to them since I was a child, over 20 years ago. Even their new music is incredible. Simon is a true entertainer and the band is a great follow up. They played classic music, the hits, a song from Arcadia, and some brand new music. Then ended with the greatest hits. It was incredible and I wish I could see them again

DD has performed three times in my country, Chile southamerica, the last gig was in lollapalooza 2019 and was a success the audience got wild many parents with their kiddos (teenagers and Young people) all the familias were enjoying the gig it was really awesome how DD crosses generations. My 9 and 8 year old children love listening to DD.

I've seen DD in several US states over the years. All lively very engaged audiences, fun dancing and singing all night except that ONE SHOW in Wilkes-Barre. Omg! Most of the audience was just sitting the whole time - there may have been some toe-tapping, lol. I was really out of place with my screaming, dancing, and singing. It was bizarre. Glad i had an aisle seat!

At the beginning of this Simon talked of playing all of a new album to an audience and how it wouldn't satisfy an audience. That being said, playing pretty much the same set tour after tour like Duran do is also not good and frankly can get boring. My opinion is Duran Duran should sprinkle new and album cuts throughout the set in between the heard them a million times hits. That way they will satisfy EVERYONE and bore no one.
