I grew up in cullercoats (St George's rd) where his family did. Andy Taylor. Hah I marched daily passed the house with my duran duran scarf . 😂.Andy and Simon had a club down the coast called Rio. .. With a glass floor. Hah leave that to your imagination. im now 50 and know better. But wish them all the best. Happy days

Love this. This is one of the first songs from a big foreign band I actually remember from my childhood (there are others, of course... Status Quo, Boy George, Spandau Ballet, Human League, a-ha), but this was also the first band I was "fanboying" over at the age of 4 or 5. Very likely that the Arena album was the first album I owned - if not the first, then one of the first, and almost certainly the first I was given because I had asked for an album from a specific artist. But side question: Do I just have really bad speakers, or is the bass very low in the mix?
