The default information is that you have to tune once you've added a CAI. You wouldn't go wrong with tuning; however, this is a mild mod, and car PCMs on these new vehicles are capable of adjusting to the new amount of airflow. Definitely you would get a more optimized result if you tune, but shouldn't there be a gain felt just by fitting it in and allowing the car to adjust on it's own. Probably high flow cats or catless downpipes will also do the job is improving overall airflow.

Love the channel.. I just installed this intake on my 2021 R/T and I am having fitment issues.. I'm almost positive that the flange is suppose to seal all the way up to the housing. and mine seems to be hanging out like your is.

I'm having the same problem. It keeps separating even though I have the clamps as tight as they can go.

@@shawnwilson7696 I called and spoke with the people at AFE. they told me that when they send the intake it is coated with a oil like film to keep the parts from sticking together... All I had to do was wipe down all the fittings with rubbing alcohol, let them dry and I haven't had a problem since.

All these intakes really do is allow for air flow to the motor which still is good. The sound would be better if they came with atleast an ecoturbo, then you would get the mice blow off sound

I think what puts most Durango guys off about the JLT is that the airbox is open. A bit worrisome with the SRT hood... butbi think out of the box was +10hp and like +7tq on their video

Isn't your filter white? I'm certain those are disposable? The blue ones are the washable/clean/oil are they not? Regardless I'm getting this setup for my 21 R/T. It looks sharp.

According to the instructions that we’re in the box mine is washable up to 100,000 miles

The white is the dry filter. Still is washable and reusable.
