Durango & Silverton Railroad 100th anniversary of the K-28 Fall Photo Charter - Part 1!

Come along on this 2 day adventure on the Durango & Silverton Railroad through the San Juan Mountains as we celebrate the 100th anniversary of the K-28 steam locomotive! With the engines and the rolling stock lettered in the traditional Rio Grande letters we are truly stepping back in time! The stars of the show are Rio Grande 473 & 476 built in 1923!

They announced I believe during this event that she was being converted to oil and put back into service, hopefully work begins 2024 from what I read
