In real history too they were bffs from Childhood. That's why their relationship was so Harmonious. He even used to teach her things. That is so cute. Chandragupta and Durdhara are quite an underrated couple because mostly novels and tv shows confuse her with Nand Nandini and makes her daughter of Nanda. She was daughter of a Mauryan chieftan and Durdhara was his most loyal and docile wife. She was his chief queen. Even Chanakya liked her as his own daughter. He preferred their son above his other sons to succeed Chandragupta. All other marriages of Chandragupta were strategic alliances and others were concubines. Only Durdhara was his wife in true sense 😭

Spoiler Alert- In later episodes you won't be able to understand why he loves Nandini, she isn't beautiful or a good hearted woman. She is pretty stupid and even stupider in coming episodes. The makers will make Helena completely negative to justify his cheating on her with Durdhara and Nandini. The way Chandra is gonna behave like a dumb love sick man will make any sane person's blood boil from anger. He cared for no one except Nandini and left his duties whenever she was away. He is going to be the most pathetic king in this show. 😒

In real history Durdhara was Daughter of eldest maternal uncle of Chandragupta Maurya. She was his childhood friend but their relationship wasn't childish. She was a devoted and loyal wife to Chandragupta

@@oddgirl4632 Mahapadma Nanda was nine generations before Chandragupta Maurya. Daughter of Dhan Nanda was married to Chandragupta Maurya and her name is not mentioned in any source. Nandini sure is a fictional character but Nand Nandini isn't. She is mentioned in ParisishtaParvan and she had a whole tragic love-hate story with Chandragupta. She fell in love with Chandragupta but he rejected her. Chanakya forced him to marry her.

@@oddgirl4632Durdhara was not Nanda's daughter at all. More than two sources clearly call mother of Bindusara from Mauryan lineage. I don't know which GK books are you talking about, if you are saying about those who teach online, they are concerned with telling basic facts not deep history. Mostly so research by watching tv serials. Some dumbos even say Justin was his son. Justin isn't even a greek name, it's a Roman name which is not even taken independently 😂 but yeah research kisne karni hai. 😂 It's so sad to see the pathetic condition of history here, no one wants to do research and mostly rely on tv serials, even those who teach it , how unfortunate. And nand Nandini was in love not Chandragupta. He even insulted her when she approached him. Oh god these tv serials and there stupid romantic tracks. Is population really this pathetic they believe tv serials. So unfortunate.

@@oddgirl4632 jahangir's wife name was jodh bai not jodha some foreign historian misunderstood that and named akbar's wife as jodha bai as she was from jaipur also and she is referred to as Mariam Uz Zamani its just her real name is not clear but if you read it in books and also on google her background,her family is same as shown in the serial
