Durga Pujo 2020 | Surul Jamindarbarir Durgautsab ( সুরুল জমিদার বাড়ীর, দুর্গোৎসব ) | Bolpur

Surul is a village adjacent to Visva-Bharati University, founded by Rabindranath Tagore. A major part of this central university, with the whole of its Sriniketan campus, stands within Surul Mouja.
Surul consists of a large population of Bagdis, Bauris, Haris and Doms, as well as weavers. The Sarkar's who were Zamindars of this Birbhum District brought in Brahmins and other upper castes. The Sarkar family at Surul had contributed a vital role towards socio-economic development of the overall area and also towards establishment of Visva-Bharati, an Institution of National Importance.
In the crowd of theme pujas, the ex-pujas of Bengal retain the mood of some of the most beautiful houses, among them the palace of Surul. Lalmati country is Surul Rajbari in Birbhum. In the sixth, the government feels at home. In the seventh, the newspaper was bathed and installed in the palace. It is a very fun gathering. Every year all the family members and villagers join it.
In this year, the Surul Rajbari fell in 285 years of age.
Surul Rajbari stands around three kilometers away from Santiniketan. About a month before Pujo, the mood has come to a country of rough soil.
Durgapujo of Sarkarbari started from the time of Bharat Chandra Later, when the property was divided among his sons, the house of the younger party started separating.
